Though technically a strange extraterrestrial, Pollination Technician 9 is the patriarch of Strangetown, and father of four of its citizens. Although he seems to have had a very strange occupation in his adulthood, Pollination Technician 9 always wanted to just have a regular family.

Retiring after his ascent into elderhood, he adopted the last name "Smith" and started a new family in the heart of Strangetown, becoming a well-known community leader that's respected and admired by most of his neighbors, excluding his resentful neighbor enemy General Buzz Grunt, with whom he is feuding.

He is married to Jenny Smith and is the father to many children, Johnny Smith and Jill Smith through Jenny. He is also the father to the twins Lola Singles and Chloe Singles through what seems like the alien abduction of Glarn Curious.

He seems to be one of the very few aliens to have hair, most have the same gaunt face and features, only bald. It also seems that he has red hair genetics, as his daughter, Chloe, has red hair and her father Glarn has black hair (seen in pictures).
