Repairman

The Repairman is an NPC that will repair objects that are broken and unclog the toilet. He visits only once when you call him from the Service menu on the phone and leaves once everything is fixed. He will also leave if he is unable to reach the broken object.

Note: In the console version of The Sims 2 Pets, The repairman is renamed as Repair Woman (Console versions) and Repair Person (PSP Version)

He fixes:

Repairman in Sims

  • The Sims and The Sims console: He will come anytime and fixes any object
  • The Sims Bustin' out: Same function as in The Sims. Note: There has been known a problem if you have the 9 screen TV, The repairman will not leave until you keep turning the TV off repeatedly, unknown if that occurs with other TVs
  • The Sims Bustin' out (GBA): He comes anytime and repairs any broken object. (There is a trick that you can get free repairs by leaving before the repairman finishes repairing the object, The same also applies in The Urbz: Sims in the City)
  • The Sims 2: He will come between 09:00 and 17:00. If called after 17:00 (5:00 pm), he will come the next morning.
  • The Urbz: Sims in the City (GBA and DS): Like in Bustin' Out, he comes anytime and repairs broken objects. (like in Bustin' Out, there is also a trick for free repairs)

Player Tips

  • Sometimes it's better for your Sim to do the work, because sometimes the repairman will not have ANY mechanical skill.
  • In Sims 2, Sims with little or no Mechanical skill can repair broken sinks, showers, and bathtubs. It'll take longer, and they may need to make more than one attempt, but they'll eventually get it done. If a sink, shower, or tub breaks during the evening or at night, it'll get fixed sooner if the Sims do it themselves than if they wait for the repairman.
