The bot workshop is a machine for creating Plumbots, trait chips, and nanites. It can be purchased in Buy mode. The object is also available at the Bot emporium for Sims to use. Sims can also WooHoo inside of it.

Designing a nanite doesn't require the bot building skill, however, creating it is not free. Designing and creating a trait chip requires a Level 1 Bot Building skill. Creating a Plumbot requires a Level 2 Bot Building skill, and it costs §250. Customizing an existing Plumbot costs §100.

Sometimes while a Sim is designing or creating from the bot workshop, it will make an error and frighten a Sim. This will not harm the Sim, but simply prevents them from creating or designing further.
