He moves into the neighborhood after the events of [[Best in Show]] and can be found in the [[family bin]]. He is a retired Dog Show Judge. His dog [[Maggie Martin|Maggie]] is his pride and joy.
Richard has the [[Knowledge]] [[aspiration]] and the [[Virgo]] [[zodiac sign]]. As far as [[personality]] goes, Richard is very neat and somewhat active. But also somewhat shy and very serious. When it comes to his [[skill]] points, Richard has high [[mechanical]], [[logic]], and [[cooking]] skills, is halfway towards maximizing the [[cleaning]] skill, and has low [[charisma]], [[body]], and [[Creativity (skill)|creativity]] skills. His main [[interest]]s are Environment, Fashion, and Money. Strangely, Richard misses a [[memory]] of meeting the [[Mystery Sim]].
Oddly, Richard has what appears to be a hidden clone/early prototype of him in the game files, named [[Dale Martin]]. Also, the clone appears in the [[Mesa Flats]] neighborhood files, suggesting that originally he may have been intended to lived there instead.
Even though none of Richard's facial features use any of the broken Maxis face templates in [[Create a Sim]], when he grows into an [[elder]], it becomes clear that his facial features are nonetheless broken.
