The town is named after Shang Ri-La and it is based on a mountainous town in Shaanxi or Shanxi, most likely Xi'an, but features the Forbidden City in the middle, which is based ~~off~~on the real Forbidden City in Beijing. This sub-hood features activities and items that compliment Chinese culture and architecture. Shang Simla is the hub for training in the [[Martial Arts]] [[skill]] introduced in ''World Adventures''.
