The SimVac is an aspiration reward which looks something like a mad scientist's version of a small vacuum cleaner. It transfers either 3000 aspiration points or one skill point from any one Sim on the lot. It only has 5 uses, as indicated by the five spinelike tubes near its handle.

The Sim using the SimVac will pick it up, walk over to the intended target, distract him or her, and turn the SimVac on. If the user is not in gold or platinum aspiration, the transfer may go from the user, instead of to them. No matter which way the transfer goes, using the SimVac will always have a negative effect on the two Sims' relationship.

No matter which way the transfer goes, using the SimVac will have a negative effect on the two Sims' relationship.

If the SimVac is used to absorb a skill point, the user has no control over which skill is absorbed. Transferring aspiration points may send the Sim who loses them into aspiration failure, but does not drain aspiration reward points from the target, or give them to the user.

Notes
When transferring aspiration points, the SimVac does not appear to consider whether the Sim being drained actually has 3000 aspiration points to lose. If the SimVac causes a Sim's number of aspiration points to drop below zero, SimPE will show it as having a high value, but the game will still display at as being bottomed out.

After a successful skill transfer, if the target Sim had no skills, the user Sim will receive no additional skill points (therefore wasting one use). It is a good idea to be sure the target Sim has skills to transfer before using the SimVac. Additionally, if the user Sim has maxed out one skill and the target Sim ONLY has points in the same maxed out skill as the user, a "successful" transfer will also result in no skill gain and one use wasted. The same is true if the user Sim has maxed out all of their skills.

Trivia
When the Beaker family is first played, there is an as-yet-unused SimVac on the first floor.
