ormitoriesDormitories usually consist of four amenities: a cafeteria, study/lounge room, bathrooms with showers, and dormie rooms.

Cafeterias are built with a kitchen and an open dining area. Pre-made dormitories all have a refrigerator, island counters, a [[sink]] or/and a [[dishwasher]], [[garbage can]]]  or [[trash compactor]]. The cafeteria functions by a special [[stove]], '''ShinyTyme Cooktop''', which summons a cook for the duty. Since the cafeteria worker can burn food and will occasionally start a [[fire]], there is always a '''[[Skimmer Securities Ceiling Sprinkler]]''' present above the cooktop.

Many pre-made dorms use communal bathrooms with toilet stalls and several '''Strut Your Stuff''' communal showers, but some use ordinary bathrooms. Bathrooms may or may not have a [[mirror]], but otherwise a single one is present outside of them.

Dormie rooms are defined by the [[Door|Myne door]]. These rooms are always provided with a [[bed]], accompanied by a [[dresser]] or desk with or without a [[computer]]. In some pre-made dorms have one or two rooms which have a computer. The premade dormitories will generally use the '''Craftmeister's Pine Bed''' or '''Caress of Teak Bed''' from the base game or the '''Flowin' Protozoan Single Bed''' from the ''University'' expansion pack.

The rest of a dorm contains study, recreational and lounging areas with hallways. All dorms have items for building [[creativity (skill)|creativity]] (an easel) and [[logic]] (a [[telescope]], [[chess table]] or both) skills, [[electronics]] ([[television]]s and [[stereo]]s by default), [[Fun|recreational items]] ([[pinball]] or [[arcade machine]], a [[dartboard]]) and areas for lounging (chairs, sofas and loveseats). Some dormitories may have [[Refrigerator#"MMM" Mini Fridge|mini-fridges]] and [[microwave]]s, and even sometimes a [[coffeemaker]]s. All dorms will have at least one [[bookcase]], computer and a [[telephone]]. There may or may not be availablevacant deskdesks for doing class assignments.
