:::Just checked Ripp Grunt in my original template of Strangetown. He has (dominant) brown / (recessive) blond hair genetics as well. :::I've just checked it myself and Ripp does infact have dominant genetics for brown hair and recessive genetics for blonde hair. I wasn't the person who originally wrote that Ripp's dominant genetics were for blonde hair. But for some reason the game may sometimes treat the recessive genetics like they are dominant and vice versa. The same thing has been known to happen with Hal Capp. ::::Considering that Ripp and Hal's respective alleles for blonde and red hair are recessive, they are quite dominant. Normally recessive genetics for red/blonde hair have almost no chance at being inherited over dominant genetics for black/brown hair. This is true to all second generation CAS Sims in any case. If a Sim had dominant genetics for brown hair and recessive for black or dominant genetics for red hair and recessive for blonde hair, there is a higher chance that the descendants may inherit the recessive genetics. In general recessive blonde and red hair genetics will always lose to dominant black and brown hair genetics. So if there is a considerable chance that Ripp's children may inherit his genetics for blonde hair and Hal's children may inherit his genetics for red hair; it means that their recessive genetics are very dominant in comparison to the recessive alleles of most Sims. Of course, there is still a higher chance that Ripp and Hal's children will inherit their respective brown and black hair. (Hal has brown hair but his dominant genetics are for black hair). :::::It could also be that some genetics are incomplete. In that case, I think anything else will be used to fill in the empty genetics. Yes, but if certain expansion packs are installed (maybe any one of these expansion packs) the game will recognize the genetics of those whose genetics were previously unrecognized. From what I've seen, all Sims' hair genetics are recognized when viewing their original templates with few exceptions.
