::I was also puzzled. I think Guilherme was trying to say that townies' names aren't usually paid any attention to, and thus, due to lack of creativity of surnames, some share their last names with other townies, or NPC's, maybe from other neighborhoods. Some Sims share their surnames purely because the surname is popular and common surname. Ѧüя◎ґ 17:32, July 20, 2011 (UTC)
:::We have covered some townies and not others as several townies have unique names, but several others will have a randomly generated one. ~>ฬђ (tคlк ★ ς๏ภtгเ๒ร) 09:38, July 22, 2011 (UTC)

::::This is how it actually works. All townie and NPC names are taken from EAxis staff first names and surnames in random pairs. There are premade townies and spawned townies. All these premade townies are the same in everyone's games. As there are many townies that share the same surnames like Jane Copur and Ivy Copur, or Robin Zarubin and Tiffany Zarubin (they are premade, I swear), many people presumes they are related somehow, though, in fact, they are not.
In other words, these premade townies are made, generated their names randomly, and shipped. Thus, they will always be the same in everyone's games. NikelSign 12:01, July 24, 2011 (UTC)
