Riverblossom Hills
Many Sims have relocated to the quiet, comfortable countryside, in the hopes that life and family can firmly plant their roots in the middle of nowhere. Fresh crops aren't the only thing growing in the farming community of Riverblossom Hills – love is in the air and many a relationship is on the verge of blossoming. Unfortunately, problems are bound to sprout in a town this small. Things are looking up, but hearts can always turn cold with the onset of winter.

Onomatology

Riverblossom Hills ( /ˈrɪvərˈblɒsəm hɪls/) is the pre-made neighborhood that was added to the game with the addition of The Sims 2: Seasons. Many of the lots are concerned with concepts and additions from The Sims 2: Seasons. For example, many of the more expensive lots have greenhouses. Riverblossom Hills is in one of the more rural areas of SimNation. When the neighborhood is first played, every inhabited house except for the Greenman family is in the midst of winter under heavy snow. Also, seasonal progression in Riverblossom Hills is set to Winter, Spring, Autumn/Fall, Winter.

Interestingly, every 'ancestral' Sim in the neighborhood is resurrectable, though none of them have a gravestone. Unusually, all living Sims have positive memories for events, such as relatives dying, that normally produce negative memories.

The neighborhood's families seem to be based on those from Pleasantview, especially the Roth family (Goths), the Wan household (the Caliente sisters), Andrew and Jacob Martin (Dreamers), and the McGreggor household (Lotharios)

It seems that a small society of naturally occurring PlantSims resides somewhere in the mountains. This plantSim "society" seems to have been discovered by the O'Mackey brothers. Rose Greenman, a local PlantSim, seems to be a previous member of this community.

Relation to Riverview[edit | edit source]

In The Sims 3, a town called Riverview is available for download from TheSims3.com. One of the streets is named "Riverblossom Hills Drive" and it also has the country/farm effect that Riverblossom Hills had. However, no Sims from Riverblossom Hills make an appearance. It is possible that Riverblossom Hills used to be Riverview, just as Pleasantview used to be Sunset Valley. The description of Riverblossom Hills says that many Sims have relocated from their hometowns and moved there, which may, at least in part, explain why there are no Sims from Riverblossom Hills living in Riverview and why many families from Riverview are present in Pleasantview.

PlantSim Society[edit | edit source]

When looking at the Greenman family photos, there appears that Gabe and Jason discovered a small community of possibly naturally occurring plantSims during a hike in the mountains. It appears that Jason's wife, Rose Greenman, a plantSim lived there before moving to Riverblossom Hills with Jason. However, this plantSim community is only in the pictures, and only Rose Greenman physically exists.
