Line 53:
=== Aftermath of the Romance Heresy and explosive skill growth ===

Ironically, Eurydike's ascension took place after the Romance Heresy: Although Eurydike was romantically interested in Gnaeus, Eurydike could not ignore the racial tension, since Eurydike's brother Kleisthenes had plenty of issues with Gnaeus, as well as the fact that HyperiaHypatia and Kallisto both were not interested in interacting with the Romaioi. With the extra energy that could not be spent in that direction, Eurydike's only vent in the academic monastery was to learn new skills, which Eurydike did in such as way that surprised even HyperiaHypatia and Kallisto. Even more so, Eurydike also hosted parties taking advantage of the superior cooking skills of the likes of HyperiaHypatia which was challenged only by the likes of Achaia or Philetairos, and use that to cement her position in the town, keeping people happy about their new rulers of sorts.

Eurydike's successes led to Kallisto endorsing the parties (although Kallisto did it for a different motive), and encouraged usage of parties to subvert public opinion in their favor. Kallisto was particularly interested in using the parties to further sow the seed for the eventual harvest that is to follow the Detente with HyperiaHypatia, although Kallisto also seems happy to host parties herself, since Kallisto's aloof attitude led to some negative attitude around the neighborhood.

Eurydike's romance life was very short-lived: Gnaeus Pompeius was an enemy of Kleisthenes who was Eurydike's brother, as well as the nominal enemy of the Union of the Insane technically hostile to the Romaioi in general. Eurydike simply complied with Kallisto and Kallistrata's suggestion to forget it, and Eurydike purchased the clean slate reward, keeping Eurydike clean. Eurydike's life was unchanged for the most part, as Kallisto and Kallistrata grew strict in the grip over the Union as a whole, keeping vigilant against any traces of romance. Eurydike being sealed from that area had only more skill growth as the path to take, and sooner or later became so skilled that Eurydike was a match even for Stratonike, or better worded exceeded Stratonike, a significant landmark since Stratonike was once viewed as that gateway between the rest and the "elect" of the likes of Kallisto, and Eurydike went over the 100 point threshold, being the first sim after the creation of the Church of Alexandros to do so. In fact, Eurydike effectively became Stratonike's rival.
