Angela clambered onto the bus with Lilith. Angela looked up the aisle to see Richie in an awful state. He was looking out of the window. His deep brown hair, which was getting long and was starting to curl, was sticking up unevenly. Stubble also protruded from his cheeks. Angela felt sorry for him: his dad's funeral was only yesterday. She sat down next to him and waited a while before gently reaching out to hold his hand. A gentle squeeze from Richie showed he had acknowledged she was there. When the bus stopped at the Dreamer house, Richie stopped looking out of the window to realise Angela looking slightly upset and hurt. Richie felt awful- he didn't want his new girlfriend to feel unloved. He gently moved forward and brushed the hair out of her eyes. She looked up. Richie noticed the look of hurt had vanished.
