::::Unless Jack Limb is a skeleton (which, shockingly, he isn't) and Sarah Holden is a doll (again, no) and Roderick Synapse is a creepy duck thing in a wheelchair, this has nothing to do with the Nightmare Before Christmas. More likely they are based on the stereotypical silent film; evil doctor/professor kidnaps the hero's girlfriend and ties her to some train tracks and sets up dynamite nearby to trap the hero or something

Doctor Finklestein has a bald head and round glasses just like Roderick Synapse and he wears all white as well. There are also little containers in Sarah's basement like the ones that Sally has for frogspawn ect in her basement.
