Swing
|
A Swing is a playground object, available in The Sims 2 and The Sims 3. Swings can be used by any Sim, child or older. When swings are available, Sims will often autonomously go to swing on them, or to push another Sim who is using them. At least in The Sims 2, this is particularly true for selectable Sims on community lots, as they tend to head for the swings whenever they have nothing else to do.
Swings can be bought in buy mode, and can be placed on residential or community lots. Several swings placed side-by-side connect to become a swing set.
Using the swings can satisfy a Sims Fun need, and Social when pushed or pushing.
The Sims 2
|
The Swing Kidz Deluxe Swing Set was introduced in The Sims 2 and could be used by children and older. Sims will seat themselves on the swing and rock back and forth, gaining momentum to go higher and higher. Other Sims can go behind the swinging Sim and push them. Teenagers are able to "chill" on the swings, allowing them to socialize with other Sims chilling on the swings.
Swings can be built adjacent to each other. Up to three swings can be placed adjacent with each other without requiring a support column in between.
In The Sims 2: Apartment Life,[confirmation needed] the plumbob for any Sims on a swing will tilt and "swing" with the Sim.
