Question:[edit source]

Has anyone noticed it becomes extremely difficult to learn new recipes after a sim reaches level 10 in alchemy?

The sim in question has the fast learner life time award.

~~Aerith~~

Yay.[edit source]

It will be better if elixirs are sorted in a table. Just a suggestion.

Would do, but I haven't had Supernatural, so I can't help much for now. :/ Nikel Talk Vote! 15:36, September 5, 2012 (UTC)
It's okay. I just need some basic tutorial into making a simple table. :)
15:49, September 5, 2012 (UTC)
You could copy an example from other articles. :) Or copy this table with source mode. Nikel Talk Vote! 15:55, September 5, 2012 (UTC)
I added the table and most all of the descriptions.--SuperSecret 18:21, September 5, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks a lot SuperSecret. Now, there's just one more thing. Screenshots. Need pictures of each elixirs and add in the table.

Thanks for both of your help! :D Nikel Talk Vote! 02:58, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
No problem. We will try to give the best info about the pack. :)03:25, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
Now there are even the pictures.--SuperSecret 12:15, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
Oh my, thanks! Where did you get these images?12:16, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
From the file ObjectThumbnails.package, located in the folder "Documents\Electronic Arts\The Sims 3\Thumbnails"--SuperSecret 12:23, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
SuperSecret, can you upload the thumbnail of Moonlight Falls in the world file under TWNI / TWNA tag? Nikel Talk Vote! 12:28, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
And how did you extract the icons from the .package file? What software to use?12:30, September 6, 2012 (UTC)

S3PE is used to tinker with TS3 game files. Nikel Talk Vote! 12:52, September 6, 2012 (UTC)

@Nikel: Done, I also inserted it in the neighborhood page.
@TWikia: I use S3PE, Nikel provided a link to its homepage.--SuperSecret 13:09, September 6, 2012 (UTC)
Thanks, SuperSecret! :D Nikel Talk Vote! 13:10, September 6, 2012 (UTC)

Effects of elixirs[edit source]

Things like "replenished of 25%" and "depleted of 40%" don't parse in English, but I can't figure out what they are supposed to mean well enough to try correcting it. Is it supposed to be "by"? Dharden (talk) 13:23, September 6, 2012 (UTC)

My bad, sorry, my English is not perfect, I am Italian. Indeed, it is supposed to be "by"--SuperSecret 13:30, September 6, 2012 (UTC)

Elixirs on a separate page?[edit source]

I guess elixirs can be put on a new page, because there can be a lot of information about elixirs like how to get them (not only making them).

I agree. Nikel Talk Vote! 04:48, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
I'll think of a way.07:44, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
Um, hold on. I think I mistook this page with potion. :O I meant that I really agree if you separate elixirs from potions. Sorry, I couldn't think clear before. Anyway, I'd say it could stay here unless it can hold more detailed information. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:31, September 10, 2012 (UTC)
Ahaha. Elixirs are like potions, but they are a much-separate topic to potions. 08:44, September 10, 2012 (UTC)

Aliens and Other Strange Sims[edit source]

As it turns out, Aliens are unaffected by Invigorating Elixirs. I figured that would be the case, but some small part of me hoped it would restore their Brain Power. I'm pretty sure that it won't do anything for Mummies either. -- Lexmechanic (talk) 16:49, January 22, 2013 (UTC)

Well, since aliens don't have Energy need, there's a good chance it won't work anyway... :s Haven't tried with Mummies or SimBots, but seeing SimBot's needs are the same as normal Sims, I guess they can take the elixir. Why can't Mummies? Nikel Talk Vote! 05:06, January 23, 2013 (UTC)
It does nothing for Aliens, I tested that one. Mummies don't have Energy either, I think... or is it static? Either way, they don't sleep in the first place. -- Lexmechanic (talk) 16:22, January 24, 2013 (UTC)
Has been very long since I touched Mummies, so I don't know much... Nikel Talk Vote! 03:56, January 25, 2013 (UTC)

On another note, it seems pureblood aliens cannot use occult transformation elixirs. Maybe I'm missing an important detail, but my alien Sim could not drink any of the ones I purchased. I should have checked if I could throw them at another alien.

Edit: I'll try to test (Potent) Zombification and Origin of the Tragic Clown on my alien also, but I suspect they will be unusable. I've marked the others on the article. -- Lexmechanic (talk) 12:55, January 26, 2013 (UTC)

Nice find, Lexmechanic. I find aliens are strange compared to other life states. Even Treeag's SimTransformer couldn't turn my Sim into an alien properly. He needs to be reset first. Nikel Talk Vote! 17:52, January 28, 2013 (UTC)
They are quite strange, but that sort of make sense. They wouldn't be very "alien" if they reacted just the same to everything. I don't know why the coding had to be so different, but I'll leave that to the programmers.
At any rate, Zombification is effective on aliens - I added an image on their article. I find it strange that they cannot use Cure Elixirs though... I had to wait for the effect to wear off. (I'm very glad I didn't use the potent version.) Or is it normal that zombies cannot drink Cure Elixirs? -- Lexmechanic (talk) 19:54, January 28, 2013 (UTC)

Bottled SimBot Converter[edit source]

Hey. I need th bottled simbot converter. What level do you learn that, and what does it need to make it?Hurshbr (talk) 17:48, January 24, 2013 (UTC)Hurshbr

All the info is in the table. You don't learn any elixirs automatically, so you'll need to Research Alchemy at any Aleister's Alchemy Station until you randomly learn it. -- Lexmechanic (talk) 19:34, January 24, 2013 (UTC)
Also, keep checking the elixir store. They might sell it. Nikel Talk Vote! 03:53, January 25, 2013 (UTC)
