My cousin who owns TS3 told me that you can only have one main family (with wishes, etc), as opposed to as many as you want in TS2. Is it true? -Ndragonawa

One main family per neighborhood instance. For example, you can create as many Sunset Valleys as you want and play a different family in each. --a_morris (talk) 05:11, November 16, 2009 (UTC)
Nothing could be farther from accurate. All you have to do is go to options and change your Active Household. Be aware though; any household you control (or ever controlled) will stay until they die of old age. This could cause problems as new families move into the neighborhood; as population grows your computer might start lagging trying to maintain / calculate huge amounts of DATA!199.31.3.195 20:49, December 12, 2009 (UTC)
It's exactly true. Only ONE household at a time in a "world"/"neighborhood" can have wishes. Any magor changes in regard to your active household resets their wishes. So, don't do it if you have something major in their you don't want to have to hope they'll get back.

Someone had roof objects in the unique to The Sims 3 section, when roof objects were first introduced in The Sims 2. It has been corrected. Clearly, someone didn't play Sims 2 enough before thinking they knew the differences between Sims 2 and Sims 3. Another on that is a lot of people online claim going to work with your sim is new, when it's in both Sims 1 (Modeling, Acting, Stand-Up Comedy) & Sims 2 (Writing, Fishing, Gardening, Toy Making, Flower Arranging, Inventor, Cooking, Small Business), and The Sims 3 base game (Writing, Painting, Fishing, Gardening).

There's a difference between hobbies, owning a business (in TS2), making things, writing, or using skills to make money, versus actually holding down employment. Up until now, there has been no way to see a Sim when they are actually at work since things that you've mentioned don't count as working since they do not involve formal employment. That's just my opinion however, and I'd like to see how others weigh in on this. --LostInRiverview 04:42, May 31, 2010 (UTC)
