Fame

First off, I didn't include the charisma challenge because I did not know about it. That being said, it currently states that completing the opportunity will provide Celebrity status... I assume this status is different from the Fame that I am referring to in Superstar i.e. Super-stardom. Please elaborate if you know. LostInRiverview 13:44, 21 August 2009 (UTC)

Wikis are collaborative, so it's okay if you don't know something. I actually don't know much of either which is why I didn't move it out of the "Non-Recurring Themes" section. However there does seem to be similarities as mentioned at Fan. --a_morris (talk) 14:45, 21 August 2009 (UTC)
I've had experience with Superstar-type stardom in TS1 but have yet to achieve Sims 3 fame. If anything, I'd say that the overall theme of The Sims: Superstar is fame and glamor, the fame in The Sims 3 seems to just be a minor feature in an expansive game. But, by that notion, things like cars (nightlife) or parties (house party) should be considered game themes as well, since they were eventually incorporated into the base game. So, in other words, I guess it all depends on whether the Fame in Superstar is repeated in The Sims 3, which I have not yet experienced so I cannot judge. LostInRiverview 14:10, 22 August 2009 (UTC)
Follow-up: It might just be better to not distinguish between repeating and non-repeating themes, and instead just list all the themes and whether they exist in more than one game. Thoughts? LostInRiverview 14:13, 22 August 2009 (UTC)

Pattern

Actually, I did notice that the covers of each games have pattern. For example, In TS2 basegame cover, there are several sims as the cover. Next, in TS2 EP, there are 2 sims(male&female) as the representation of the EP theme and there are several sims' shadow behind the two sims. And in TS3, the cover is several sims and one sims is located inside one diamond shaped. And for TS3 EP, There are 6 big half-diamond-shaped and every half-diamond-shaped represent something about the EP. So, I guess the next EPs for TS3 will have this pattern.

Next Expansion Pack

Totally spitballing here, but I think I've narrowed down the new Sims 3 expansion pack choices to a Seasons pack (which would be a little difficult seeing as the entire town needs to be raining, snowing, or hailing), a Bon Voyage expansion pack (granted, we've already had WA, but Grant Rodiek hinted the possibility of another vacation pack), and Magic. And, seeing as TS1 and TS2 had 7-8 expansion packs, I presume that we're only going to have two to three more.
Shame. I'd have loved to see a Strangetown kind of town, but I don't know how that'd fit in. Maybe it would be included in the Magic pack. Duskey stated in a blog that he'd like the idea of a Space-themed expansion pack, which would be cool. Along with that, mermaids would be an interesting twist to the game, but unlikely in retrospect. I think that's it, really. The Sims 4 is apparently already in production(?), so I don't think they'll be focusing too much on the third one now.
Darn shame. --TDIFan13 (My Talk and My Contributions!) 08:03, November 12, 2011 (UTC)

Showtime & Master Suite Stuff?

Uhm, Master Suite Stuff should not be included in a list of SP's that have been released as of July 2011, as it doesn't release until March 2012. And Showtime should be reworded in its paragraph, as it has not been released.--Ltjay14 01:27, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

Oh, so that's why you excluded Master Suite Stuff before. Both the SP and EP have been announced as well as its release dates, thus they're valid EP and SP to be on the list. Instead of excluding it, I think it's better for you to add notes beside the title e.g. "Master Suite Stuff (will be released on March 2012). Nikel Talk 01:37, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
We could drop the dates and set them as List of The Sims 3 EP's/SP's --Ltjay14 01:48, January 8, 2012 (UTC)
List of Expansion Packs will be redundant since there's already this page. I've added a note "With one in development" Nikel Talk 02:01, January 8, 2012 (UTC)

Temporary protect?

While it might be not so necessary, perhaps we could temporarily protect this page until Diesel Stuff is released. Nikel Talk 11:49, June 11, 2012 (UTC)

Stuff packs Sims 2

I'm confused about the counting of the stuff packs for The Sims 2. The stuff pages claim (if you look at Mansion & Garden) that there are only 9 stuff packages (8 without the holiday edition) while there are clearly 10 stuff packages (9). I think somewhere the counting went wrong but I'm not really sure, so thereby for changing every page I want to check if someone noticed this too. Tiezel (talk) 18:15, November 22, 2012 (UTC)
