Hey guys, if anyone sees this, let me just say that I will be seeing if planting a finished Death Flower will grow a new Death Flower Bush, and I will hopefully have the results this evening. However, if anyone KNOWS that they do or don't, feel free to edit the article and add it, along with any other information you may have. --Rossmallo 10:44, 11 June 2009 (UTC) Planting a death flower grows a new bush. I have done this over 100 times ingame.

I've tried 3 sims had the death flower and none were brought back to life.

Extreme life insurance

Will anything increase the odds of getting this achievement/make it possible?

Green thumb trait?

Owning a death flower?

Fishing

Death Flower seeds an be caught by fishing. My sim had only Lvl 6 fishing at the time. Abagraba 19:44, January 24, 2010 (UTC)

My experiences with the Death Flower

  • I had an elder sim who was over 90 days old. His age meter had been full for a few days. I wanted to put off his doom for just 2 more days though, so I ate some life fruit. The age meter went down of couse. When the age meter hit full again, death came for him, but he escaped by offering a Death Flower. I did not know you could escape death by aging with it. Perhaps this is due to him eating life fruit? His age meter got reset to elder (70some days) just as if he had eaten Ambrosia.
  • Same sim, his time came again. This time he did not have a Death Flower in his inventory, but he offered one to death anyway. He was spared AGAIN, resetting his age meter. I looked through the other characters on the lot and sure enough, his daughter was now missing her death flower. Seems he took it from her inventory when death came.
  • I placed all my death flowers in a container this time (chest from world adventures) and am now waiting for death to come knocking for this sim again.
  • All these observations were made with World Adventures 2.5.12 & High-End Loft Stuff 3.1.7 Duskey 22:25, February 26, 2010 (UTC)
"Hiding" the death flower in a container did the trick and my sim died peacefully at last. What we can learn from this is that a Death Flower CAN save you from death by aging and it can do so multiple times. If anyone else can confirm this or has additional insight, we can add it to the article. Duskey 20:50, February 27, 2010 (UTC)
- I wanted to note here that I removed the inacurate trivia from this article. It had stated all yields from the plant are of perfect quality, however I just harvested a Death Flower of mere Good Quality. I'm not sure whether to leave the Trivia header there as empty, or to remove it entirely, so I've left it empty for now.69.27.64.235 02:41, September 13, 2011 (UTC)

Opportunity: Proposed Merger

I do not believe the opportunity should be removed from this page, as it is directly pertaining to the death flower. However it should definitely be listed on the gardening page, as it is currently. Tazuras 18:14, July 11, 2010 (UTC)

This wasn't in the article

Strangely enough, I was browsing around the graveyard talking to ghosts when I stumbled on a Death Flower just outside the gate, like a plant growing there. Anyone else have experiences with this?

  • On a different note, wouldn't Death Flowers be considered the Sim's equivalent to an "extra life" :p --{{SUBST:Kalasig}} 20:14, December 18, 2010 (UTC)
