The Two Maxis Studios

It has been brought to my attention that both SimGuruGraham and SimGuruRyan have both stated that EA Redwood Shores/The Sims Studio has been renamed Maxis or Maxis Redwood Shores. Similar to Maxis Emeryville. As such, it seems the first Sims 3 game to include the Maxis name in the credits is Master Suite Stuff. Also, most EA sites and Press Sites now label Maxis as the dev of The Sims 3 games. Upon further investigation by admins, mods and other editors, I feel that the Sims 3 pages should reflect this, starting with Master Suite Stuff. Thank The Watcher that the Maxis name is once again associated with the main Sims franchise. The Black Scorpion 22:37, May 5, 2012 (UTC)

Plagiarism

I would like to recommend that this article should be reviewed for plaigiarism. I found an almost exact word-for-word explanation of Maxis' history on Wikipedia. If you are going to use it or paraphrase, then please, at least include a citation, otherwise this is plaigiarism.

Maxis Montreal/EA Black Box

The article states that Maxis Montreal was formerly known as EA Black Box. However, EA Black Box were situated in Vancouver, then moved to Burnaby, then renamed to EA Quicklime and finally closed down earlier this year. I haven't found any sources stating that the studio was acquired by Maxis or renamed under the Maxis brand, just an old web cache claiming that EA Black Box and EA Redwood Shores/Visceral worked on the game, though no specifics. Ideally we should change the developer on the appropriate pages back to EA Black Box but what of the Montreal listing on this page? Lost Labyrinth   (c)(b) 00:00, August 5, 2013 (UTC)
