Memory

Memories in Generations are not attached to the Sims, unlike The Sims 2. So statements like "Not having a memory of getting married adds 0.1 points" isn't really possible, since we can freely manipulate the memory (change its name and description), delete it, and even create one. The game cannot distinguish one memory from another, so memories are just description with images. Not to mention, midlife crisis would be inevitable if we disable the memory then. I'm changing back the previous edit. Nikel Talk Vote! 08:01, July 17, 2013 (UTC)

I had two sims, married, with children, but I made them start off that way, so no memories. The rest of their lifestyle, plus the children and spouses, made it so they shouldn't have had a midlife crisis, but when they became Adults they both had a crisis. I can't think of any other explanation. Me!-Bwahaha! 02:56, August 12, 2013 (UTC)Hurshbr
Well, here's mine. My game setting is set to disable the memory. My Sim, Sahan, got married with Piper who lived at different household. They were both young adult at that time, and Piper was already in the middle of her young adulthood. Since Piper is older, she aged up first. Piper got a midlife crisis even though she had moved out, married not too early, had a level 5 career, great skills, and so on. Just recently, Sahan also aged up, but he didn't have a midlife crisis. Obviously I've controlled Sahan for his whole life while only half for Piper, but this has nothing to do with memories at all. Nikel Talk Vote! 03:10, August 12, 2013 (UTC)
