I just noticed while looking at the songs that they used the word Vous in place of you, as far as I know this is an instance where they used an actual language to make up simlish, not very important but it's worth noting.

:0_0 I don't get it. Simlish has had many different variations in the series, including The Sims 3. Even if the Simlish pattern appears to be consistent somehow, they're not supposed to mean anything (try deciphering the letters on the TV screen on top of this article)! But this screenshot is obviously a special case...

:I'm under the impression that EA was too lazy to make up the pattern anymore, and instead installed the custom Simlish font and slapped it on the game. ::Yes,you´re right, they have a lot of versions of Simlish . And they´re lazy to use one official -_-

:::I've added this information to a new subsection in this page. I thought it's worth mentioning now. == Nooboo ==

I suspect that the reason they chose "Nooboo" to mean "Baby/Toddler" in The Sims is because "Nooboo" sounds sort of similar to "newborn". -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 06:24, September 24, 2014 (UTC)

Chumcha
I was playing The Sims 2 during the holidays, and I had one of my Sims order chinese food. As the chinese food deliverer held out the food boxes, he said "Chumcha" which normally means pizza in Simlish.

Could it be that the developers were too lazy to make the voice actors record an entirely new Sim word? After all the pizzas and chinese food in the Sims 2 are delivered the same way. They differ only in the carpool logo, the type of food box, and the uniform the NPC wears. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 01:28, October 12, 2014 (UTC)

: I wouldn't call them lazy but maybe "Chumcha" means takeaways or something else. Joey.eyeball (talk) 04:37, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

::I wouldn't call them lazy either, but I was a little short of terms. -- C.Syde (talk | contribs) 05:14, November 11, 2014 (UTC)

:This might be late, but I think it may generally mean food. I heard a female Sim in TS4 saying chumcha- no delivery person or anything. 102212 13:41, May 6, 2016 (UTC)

:I'm pretty sure the word "chumcha" means just "food". Sims in The Sims 4 say chumcha when they're cooking any kind of food, and when they're hungry. - SimDestroyer (talk) 14:55, February 21, 2018 (UTC)

New word!
In The Sims 1, if a female shooes someone, they say something that sounds like "Ah, fa fa! Ah, fa fa!". Should I add this to the page? 2.121.21.51 (talk) 12:31, November 16, 2014 (UTC)

Sims 4
After translating the text that came with the newsletter it's revealed to be mostly filler text from the Lorem Ipsum passage. The second bulleted line is just random letters and some words have had extra letters added to them eg. proid(ihnbvnnc}ent and labo(gui)re. There is no actual coded message.

As for Simlish language in Sims 4 the characters still speak in Simlish but some of the written Simlish is completely different from the known Simlish alphabet. There are still some things in the game that use common Simlish which can be translated into English but some translations don't make any sense eg. the big writing on the picture of a carpenter says: "epic wood" and a picture of a llama and a female sim says "cop and llama", but if you were to translate the text for a picture of a man eating pancakes and coffee it says "sty wirdr my frnd".

"sty wirdr my frnd". That actually has a meaning. just try to fill the gaps:
st_y w_ird_r my fr__nd

(It says "stay weirder my friend"! :P)

Sims 3 "E"
I think I have decoded a Simlish letter from the Sims 3. Take a look. Since this is from the diner, it is possible that the big message to the top left is "Diner" and the smaller one to the center-right is "Open 24 [hours]". As you can see, the fourth letter of the big message and the third letter of the small message are the same - they're both equivalent to the letter E. Is this true? == "Then" ==

I Hot 'n Cold is "then" and "You're" different in each line.

Version 1: Kavahap ninap cou ('Cause you're hot then you're cold)

Version 2: Fahit tinap blo (You're yes then you're no)

Version 3: Vaip tinip aw (You're in then you're out)

Version 4: Vanip tinip taw (You're up then you're down)

Version 5: Va longe rishwai (You're wrong when it's right)

What I would suggest "(You) have" is "Va/Fa", the ending of Va/Fa is the next word (Yes/In/Up/Wrong); "Ninap", "Tinap" and "Tinip" are forms of different Case of "Then".
That make Ka='Cause, Hap=Hot, Cou=Cold, It=Yes, Blo=No, Ip=In, Aw=Out, Nip=Up and Taw=Down.

That words are pronounced together, there are e.g. in Russian (at "в"). Hokton (talk) 08:51, September 7, 2018 (UTC)
