I have an important question, how do you delete a body in The Sims Creator? Answer me here. -Teh Internets

Inventory? Edit

So, I just got back into playing The Sims recently (just before The Sims 3 lol xD) and have all the expansion packs. My question is this: I accidentally had one of my sims pick up some items and now don't know how to transfer it to another sim's inventory. There is no option for "giving a gift" like there is for The Sims 2 or placing it on the ground with the hand tool and having the correct sim pick it up, so... help? Thanks!

This is an old post but, someone else might need it. Under Misc>magic. There is a magic book shelf. Have the Sim that picked it up place the item in there. Have the other Sim take it out. Hope that helped! Kindofshy 23:21, March 28, 2010 (UTC)

SimCity Page? Edit

Instead of linking to an external site, why not have a page about SimCity here, as this is the roots of The Sims, and where a lot of Sims terms came from? While most games with "Sim" in the title (like SimCopter, SimIsle, SimFarm, etc.) wouldn't belong here since they aren't directly relate to The Sims, SimCity is where the idea of "sims" began, and is alluded to in The Sims. I'm not talking a new section, or even multiple sections, but simply one good page talking about the whole SimCity series and how it relates to and differs from The Sims. As an old SimCity fan, I'd be happy to write it.

If not, perhaps the link should be to the Wikipedia page, as it has a lot more info than the page currently linked to?

100 Sim Days of Gameplay? Edit

I remember that, after reaching 100 Sims days of gameplay with any family, for the next 7 sim days you'd get those dialog boxes that gave awkward info about either the game or famous SIms (that were never heard of later and have no pages). I don't have The Sims 1 anymore, but if anybody does and remembers this, could they try doing this and adding pages about anything that could have a page?{{SUBST:Nosubst|Signatures/Alex1496}} 13:18, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

It's not famous Sims, but (as I recall) members of the development team. Dharden 18:49, April 24, 2010 (UTC)

How many houses? Edit

How many families and houses can you have in The Sims? Potterfan1997 14:02, January 5, 2011 (UTC)

If you're not talking about Complete Collection, that depends on whether or not Unleashed is installed. Without Unleashed, there are only the ten residential lots on the Sim Lane loop. With Unleashed, there are about 30 lots in Old Town. By default, eight of them are zoned as community lots (one is vacant). Of course, that's per neighborhood, not per game. Thanks. Potterfan1997 10:11, January 6, 2011 (UTC)

Another question, where do the Crisp Family and the (I'm not sure how it's spelt) Eliison Family come from? Because, I was playing with the Roomies and we Threw a Party and those two families came along. I haven't created them, and they aren't in any of my neighbour hoods. Can anyone help? You have wrote the Notes of The Sims as an administrator.

The Sims requires the program to be logged in as an administrator if you have Windows Vista and Windows 7. Which means that If Hot Date, Vacation, Unleashed, Superstar and Makin Magic is installed, with Old Games made for Windows 98/ME/XP it is possible to run the Sims.exe on Windows Vista and Windows 7 as an administrator. Except Sims Original Game, Sims Livin Large and Sims House Party that it works okay.

Compilation release not listen on this page. Edit

There seems to be a compilation release not listen on this page. The Sims Collection, Volumes 1 to 7. These are 7 different realeses, each with the base game and one single expansion pack. Thought I'd mention it. 88.13.94.182 (talk) 15:37, September 4, 2013 (UTC)

More TS1 compilations? Are they released on certain regions only or worldwide? Nikel Talk Vote! 09:31, September 5, 2013 (UTC)

Hi Edit

Hi i am angela and i want to sign up for the sims pls —Preceding unsigned comment added by 94.3.49.253 (talkcontribs) 17:35, September 27, 2014 (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

I am not sure what you mean by "Sign up for The Sims". The Sims is a game you buy from Electronic Arts. If you want to edit this wiki, you do not need an account to edit, but you do need one to write fanon. You can create an account right now for free, or log in if you already have one. --k6ka (talk | contribs) 17:46, September 27, 2014 (UTC)

Sims 1 Playability on Win10 Edit

The Sims page trivia for TS1 says, "The Sims is considered to be unplayable with Windows 10 and even installation is glitchy," but speaking as someone who frequently plays The Sims: CC on my Windows 10 laptop, that's not strictly true. It takes some messing around with settings, and it IS very glitchy, but definitely playable. You have to play windowed, which is achieved by adding "-w" (w/o quotes) to the end of the shortcut target box in the shortcut properties tab. The game will start with a black box overlayed on your screen on top of the game window, which can be removed by holding ctrl+alt+del and then closing the page that appears. The window can then be moved around freely, but 100% of the time (after a while, how long varies), this is kinda weird to explain, but like, the game screen doubles itself and pops out over your screen like the black box at the beginning, and it will stay on top of every single other window (except ctrl+alt+del, though doing that won't get rid of it this time) and is unmovable. The weirder part is that you can move the game underneath it and the popout screen will stay there. This can be fixed by restarting the game (takes under 5 mins to load on modern PCs), but it's still very annoying because it shows up over other windows, so if you want to do something else you have to close the game entirely. There are some other minor glitches strewn throughout the game, although most of them were already there (ie, not compatibility bugs). Someone can probably condense this better than me (look how long it took me to write it in the first place) Katgirl28888 (talk) 09:49, May 18, 2016 (UTC)

This should be added to the Trivia. Edit

TS1 is called "SimPeople" in Japan. Ness the Earthbound fan (talk) 08:23, July 11, 2016 (UTC)

Windows 7 Edit

Windows 7 is needed for sims 1? İ have windows 7 —Preceding unsigned comment added by Pinkie Offical Wiki (talkcontribs) 10:15, October 23, 2016‎ (UTC) - Please sign your comments with ~~~~

No. Where are you getting this information from? The Sims 1 existed before Windows 7. —k6ka 🍁 (Talk · Contributions) 12:03, October 23, 2016 (UTC)
