Merging with The Sims 3 (console)

I have marked this page for a merge, as it seems pretty likely to me that most, if not all, of the information included on this page is more applicable on a page which refers to all console versions of TS3. Instead of having separate pages for all console versions, I think having one page with as much information as possible about common features would be better. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 08:16, December 8, 2010 (UTC)

I think there should be seperate pages for each platform because you can fit more information in without the page taking ages to load or a while just to find the thing you want to read. Also, when more console versions come out like the sims 3 pets, the sims 3 world adventures, the sims 3 ambitions and about 10 more just for 1 console (Out of about 5 consoles), it would be hard to fit it all on 1 page. And another thing, how come the PC version gets its own page but the consoles have to share? And since different platforms are in different cities, when you list all the locations no one will know what game each location is in. I think it will be too cramped up on 1 page if the console versions are squeezed on to 1 page.
You make a very good point. But remember, the console versions don't differ as much as the PC versions. BobNewbie talkblog 09:17, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
Yes I agree with Bob and my point is also that one, it would be a huge mess creating 1 page to 10 games with their own features. I suggest a new comparison page to write what are the features that both have in common and different features, also. Thanks for reading. --Guilherme Guerreiro (talk here) 09:28, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
If console versions of those games are ever released, those versions themselves would be given their own page, similar to how expansion packs for the computer game receive their own pages. For The Sims 3 (console), all you need is to make sure information is present under the correct sections; that will make finding information there easier. Also, avoiding repetition between games would be helpful since many of them share features. The reason I would advocate for keeping the console games together is that there are only minute differences between the versions of TS3 released on certain platforms, and those differences are few enough to only need to be detailed in one article. I still support merging. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 15:39, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
Maybe we should split the console pages into individual articles for the Wii, X360/PS3 and DS/3DS versions of the game. There shouldn't be a main page for the console game, so the individual articles are not redundant. Also, the only TS3 EP to get a console release was Pets, so I doubt that we'll have to create loads of pages for them. --Norman Average 17:18, December 8, 2010 (UTC)
Point taken, merge proposal withdrawn. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 22:08, December 24, 2010 (UTC)
