Tara Kat is a premade sim that appeared in The Sims 2: Pets. She dreams of owning a pet shop. Tara is the daughter of Ginia Kat, who has died, and she believes that every one should have a cat. She has three cats: Mickey, Samantha and Faline.

Her mother was originally in The Sims: Unleashed. Now her daughter is in The Sims 2: Pets. Right before the user starts playing the house, Tara adopts a kitten. Tara wonders if her older cats will accept it as a new part of the family.
