Both of the members are blue which could be a reason they are the 'Odd Mod'.
Despite the family bio stating they are both excitable vegetarians, neither have the vegetarian trait but they both have the excitable trait.
They could be a reference to the characters Heather Chandler and Heather McNamara from the 1988 movie Heathers.
