The Sims Vacation, titled The Sims On Holiday in the UK, is an expansion pack for The Sims. The game associates a Holiday Island with neighbourhoods and families (or even single Sims) can book vacations there over the phone.

Once the family has booked their travel and chose a lot to stay in, they would be billed for each day they stayed. Only one family could be staying on a vacation lot at any given time, but non-controllable families wander around the lot and can be befriended.

Vacation lots typically combine acommodation with leisure facilities. For example, some fairground-style games of skill can be found and tokens can be won on them, which in turn can be redeemed for souvenirs. Once home, the family can display their mementoes on a display shelf.
