Administrative Projects are a special requirement for wiki Administrators and Bureaucrats. Under community consensus, Administrators and Bureaucrats ("TSW Staff") are required to hold two (2) Administrative Projects at a time. TSW Staff are allowed to choose which projects they want to work in, subject to approval from a Bureaucrat. TSW Staff are still responsible for basic administrative tasks, regardless of the project they are working on.

Available Projects

Image and File Maintenance

Staff is responsible for keeping wiki files organized, categorized and copyright compliant. Duties include renaming generic-named files, adding licensing information, warning or taking action against users who repeatedly violate image or file rules, and in improving current images whenever possible.

Project members:
Fanon Administration

Staff is responsible for moderating inside the Fanon namespace, including the Fanon Portal. Duties include moving pages into the Fanon namespace, deleting poorly-written pages, enforcing rules and policies regarding content and fanon, updating the monthly fanon-related features, and serving as a resource for fanon authors.

Project members:
Categorization, Layout and Navigation

Staff is responsible for improving wiki navigation for users and readers. Duties include developing useful templates for navigation and easy access to information, adding and reorganizing categories to link related pages, creating, moving or deleting pages to enable easier browsing, and improving the layout of important pages.

Project members:
Visual Improvement

Staff is responsible for making the wiki visually appealing and visually united under a coherent theme. Duties include leading redesigns of wiki and content pages, working to update graphics, logos and backgrounds used by The Sims Wiki, setting and updating a unified visual theme for the wiki, and bringing all main pages under the unified theme.

Project members:
Community Development

Staff is responsible for serving as a link between the Staff, editors and readers of The Sims Wiki. Duties include making users aware of upcoming events and projects, working to mediate disputes between editors and between administrators and editors, managing community events and contests, and building community involvement in the wiki.

Project members:

Additional Projects

TSW Staff may propose the creation of additional projects as necessary. These projects may be special to one particular TSW staff member, or open for multiple staff members to fill. New projects should be suggested on the project applications page.

Project Reports

From time to time, TSW Staff may be asked by a bureaucrat to report on work done in their project area. Staff should be actively working to fulfill the duties of their project area. Failure to show work in a project may lead to action against the staff, if necessary.
