Instead of a regular main page poll this month, we're going to do something a little different.

Maxis announced in January that they are working on a time travel expansion pack, to be released later on this year. However, the did not give any specifics about the pack, and they never gave it a name. That's where you come in - we want to hear your name ideas! Now, we can't guarantee that Maxis will actually take our submissions into consideration, but that shouldn't stop us from coming up with the best names we can!

Rules[edit source]

Each person can submit a single name, so make it count! Don't worry - you can go back and change your submission up until the end of the entry period. Please try to make your name original, but related to the theme of the pack (Time Travel). Please try and follow this general format:

Name: <Name of game>

Explanation: Explain where the name comes from here. Feel free to elaborate on any additional features that the pack should have, if the feature somehow relates to the name you've chosen. Be sure to sign your entry, whether or not you provide an explanation.

In order to be fair, we won't allow voting on any entries until the submission period ends.

Other Rules[edit source]

  • Anyone can participate, including unregistered users.
  • Do not edit another user's entry.
  • Do not duplicate another user's entry. If someone thought of a good name before you, you'll have to think of another one.
  • Make sure you sign your entry with four tildes (~~~~). Unsigned entries will be removed by administrators.

We will be having submissions open until February 15 at 00:00:00 UTC. Let's see your ideas!

Name: The Sims 3: Decades Adventures

Explanation:I think that the game will be named Decades Adventures because as you all should know the 70's, 80's and 90's stuff pack was originally called Decades stuff so I thought they might name it something rather similar. Name: The Sims 3: Time Travel

Explanation: Okay, "Time Travel" sounds like way too generic, but I prefer if EA actually has generic thinking, despite the theme being too thematic. Name: The Sims 3: Beyond the Present

Explanation: I was trying to think of something creative, and I know that EA would never use this. Still, the most reasonable title is Nikel's, and even Dev's. Vss2eiptalk here 17:51, February 2, 2013 (UTC)

Name: The Sims 3: Far From Time

Name: The Sims 3: Future Shock!

Explanation: When I heard about the annoucement of the Time Travel Expansion Pack, the first thing that came to my mind was the Future Shock! Set from The Sims 3 Store. Name: The Sims 3: Time Stream

Explanation: When I think of time travel, I think of the far away future and stange encouters in time like in Doctor Who.I also think of Darleks whizzing about the space-time continum going "EXTERMINATE EXTERMINATE!" I also think of the old Doctor Who theme tune and a donut flying around instead of the tardis.J~Cutabello
