The Background Changes
Tweaks to the wiki layout

A new background has been implemented into the wiki!

While not the same as our previous plumbBob one, a large part of the community agrees that it looks better and more professional. Along with a new background, the navigation bar at the top of the page has been altered dramatically, now displaying a variety of Sims on the The Sims 3 cover for all to see, among other things.

'I like the new background,' says Guilherme Guerreiro it shows more about the Sims series itself!

Thanks for the changes go especially to LostinRiverview, JoePlay, and all the other users who contributed in the changes.

However, even though the new background is extremely young, a new new background has been suggested in the Community Portal by RandomRanaun. The background is the same static one used on thesims3.com, and users are encouraged to comment and give their opinions.

HOROSCOPE: Leo: July 23 - August 22

An urban legend about an angler rising from the sea to kidnap all your lawn gnomes will start to repeatedly be mentioned by those around you. At midnight, it is advised you take your little sculpture friends and hide them somewhere safe (i.e. not in the laundry machine).

You will start to become more and more interested in your partner's anxiety and nervousness. Nevertheless, remember, no matter how many times you catch them suggestively flirting with your neighbor, they are most surely not cheating on you.

You will start to dream of lavish and luxurious travels to the far east, only to have your ambitions crush by the realization that you, in fact, aren't good in martial arts.

Notable Leo Sims: Don Lothario, Michael Bachelor.

The Sims Series: The ultimate "people" people, Leos are complete extroverts. Unfortunately, this makes them deficient in other areas.

From The Editor

This newsletter doesn't write itself! Anyone who is willing to contribute ideas or articles should do so; you will be given credit for your contributions, and they stand a good chance of being included on the next Newsletter.

We also need column writers; who write one thing about a certain topic once each month. We have an opening for a column called The Mod and More, which deals with mods and fan created objects, and we ask any modders to contact BobNewbie for more information.

Along with a new column writer, we would like to include one or two more members of the community to write for us, making us a 4-5 member journalism team. This team will communicate via e-mail and IRC to bring the community the best possible newsletter each month. The Sims Wiki Newsletter would also like to remind you of how fun it actually is to write for The Newsletter. We plan on growing and adding a whole ton of new things, from new game reviews by regular users, to in-depth articles concerning Wikia's changes and how they effect users. For now, growth is extremely limited, and we ask for as many possible users to apply to join.

Also, I would like to personally apologize for the late publishing. I think we can all admit that it's been a busy month. Between schools starting around the globe, the terrible tragedy in Olso and the death of the talented Amy Winehouse, one of Wikia's databases being damaged in a hurricane, and massive changes and proposals on-and-off wiki, things tend to get a bit crazy. But as long as we stand together as a community with the same goal, to make this encyclopedia the best we can, I'm sure we can get pass all obstacles that stand in our way.

If there's something you think we missed, tell us about it and we'll do our best to include it.

- Happy Simming and editing!
