Story Submissions[edit source]

We are currently accepting story submissions for the TSW Newsletter. If you have a hand at writing and want to focus on something community-related or The Sims Series related, or want to give an opinion piece, add your submissions in a subsection here. Remember to put the {{UserSubmitted}} userbox on your userpage after you've submitted a story!

Requirements and rules
  • Focus on a topic related to TSW, the Sims community, or The Sims series.
  • Editors may edit your submission for grammar, punctuation and spelling without permission, and may remove some sections to decrease length if necessary (though we'll try and avoid that). An editor will contact you on your talk page if submission must be edited for another reason, and will try and work with you to get the submission fixed up.
  • Editors may deny any submission due to poor quality, lack of space, length (either too long or too short), or because of the subject. Please make your submissions as interesting as possible.
  • Story ideas are appreciated too: if you have an idea for an interesting topic, suggest it here and we may write about it.
  • Submission Deadline for all issues is the 10th.

Fanon Reviewing[edit source]

We are currently accepting users to review Fanon/Fan fiction pages for the newsletter. A minimum of 2 articles reviewed by 2 users are to be included in every issue as of the September one. Special thanks to Random Ranaun for proposing the idea.

Requirements and rules for submitting pages to be reviewed
  • Only authors may submit their articles to be reviewed.
  • Only pages in the Fanon namespace are allowed.
  • Pages to be reviewed must be of an average quality or more.
  • Authors must understand that they give permission to a reviewer to give both positive and negative constructive critique of their work.
  • While there is no submission deadline for proposing an article for review, earlier submissions are used first.
Requirements and rules for reviewing
  • Reviewers must have written at least a single Fanon or Fan fiction article of average quality.
  • Reviewers must keep all criticism fair and constructive.
  • Reviewers must note that the article they will be assigned to review will be random.
  • Reviewers must note that an editor may or may not include their review for a variety of reasons.
  • While there is no submission deadline for asking to become a reviewer, earlier submissions are used first.
