'''Thuyet Karana''' {{nee|Motoko}} is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral [[Sim]]s who resided during her lifetime in [[Belladonna Cove]], the [[neighborhood]] shipped with ''[[The Sims 2: Apartment Life]]''. She was the daughter of [[Minh Motoko|Minh]] and [[Veata Motoko]], the wife of [[Chandra Karana]], the mother of [[Vivian Cho]] {{nee|Karana}}, the grandmother of [[Etsu Cho]]. Thuyet is completely resurrectable, even though she doesn't have a grave. She has the [[Fortune]] [[Aspiration (The Sims 2)|aspiration]], and the [[Aquarius]] [[zodiac sign]]. As far as [[personality]], Thuyet is quite playful and somewhat nice. But she is somewhat sloppy, shy, and lazy.
Thuyet is one of the few ancestral Sims to die as an [[adult]], so she died a premature death. According to her age data, she had 29 days left in the adult [[life stage]] when she died. Thuyet uses the 10th Maxis face template in [[Create a Sim]], except the eyes and jaw which use the 8th face template. The eyes are also closer to the forehead than on the default template, and the jaw is slightly longer. However the jaw is only longer on [[teen]]age, [[adult]] and elder females, which may mean that the jaw was genetically passed down, as this oddity generally only occurs on Sims whose facial features were genetically passed down.
Thuyet's SimDNA in [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]] shows that her recessive alleles are for brown hair and dark blue eyes. Also her dominant skin tone range is for light skin, while her recessive skin tone range is for tanned skin. However Thuyet's dominant and recessive alleles are for light skin. Unlike several other married ancestors from ''Apartment Life'' who have [[memories]] of their spouses, she only has [[Mystery Sim]] memories. However Thuyet still has the memory of giving birth to Vivian.
Strangely, her memories indicate that she met her grandchild Etsu, before she met Mystery Sim. Her husband's memories on the other hand are much more accurate, as they indicate that meeting Etsu was the last thing that he remembered. This was probably a mistake made by the developers. According to Vivian's memories, Thuyet died while Vivian was pregnant with Etsu. She bears a slight resemblance to her daughter, even dressing the same as her, which is uncommon for pre-made Sims.
