Tinkering is one of the many Hobbies included in the FreeTime expansion for The Sims 2. High Tinkering enthusiasm allows a Sim access to the Will's Garage secret lot. Having a shy or nice personality will raise the enthusiasm for this hobby faster.
Tinkering with electronics and mechanical items is some Sims' favorite pastime. They love upgrading their electronic items, playing with train tables and even restoring vintage cars. Sims with high mechanical skill will be more into tinkering.
