Relics are the main reason why the treasure thirsty Sims explore tombs. Relics can be collected or sold.

Fragments are bonus treasures. They are fragments of items like the Blessed King's Sarcophagus or a dive well which can only be rebuilt at home if the Sim has all the required fragments.

Piles of rubble are obstacles to treasure. A Sim can destroy the pile to uncover a dream of treasure and riches and gain Athletic skill.

Trap
A tomb is not complete without a challenge! Traps can be either disarmed or not disarmable, success rate determined by the Handiness skill. There are 4 types of active traps: Fire, Electricity, Darts and Steam. The fire- and electricity- traps are dangerous to Sims and the darts-trap causes Sims to fall asleep. The steam-trap is the least dangerous trap, as it only can soak Sims, which causes a minor mood decrease. Movable statues can disarm the traps if they're firing continuously and reveal active hidden traps as well. Traps are also disarmed when successfully crossing them, if possible. Steam traps can be utilized by Sims to bypass a fire trap, and SimBots and Mummies do not get singed by electricity traps.

Mummies
Depending on the circumstance, a sarcophagus may also pose to be a booby trap with a mummy inside getting awakened. Once the mummy gets out of its sarcophagus, it will be prompted to attack the exploring Sim. Mummies can either make the Sim they are fighting pass out, or worse, cast a curse upon Sims which kills the Sim if not removed within 2 weeks. Mummies have 5-10 skill points in Athletic and Martial Arts skills, making them quite strong and difficult to defeat, especially in Al Simhara , where mummies have mastered the Martial Arts skill. Mummies can be defeated with enough Athletic and Martial Arts skill or coaxed to return to their sarcophagus with Mummy Snacks. Mummies are also destroyed by fire, so luring one into a fire trap will kill it.

Tomb holes can be found in walls or floors. Sims can inspect one to see if it has a switch in it. Tomb holes also can contain treasure or bugs that scare curious Sims.

There isare two different versions of a floor switchpanel. The first has a footstepfootprint symbol and can be stepped on once to activate. The second has a gear symbol. ==Dive Wells==
Dive well

Dive wells are one of the most exciting tomb objects. Sims can use them to become Soaked, which makes them immune to fire, or to put themselves out when already on fire. A hidden switch can be set at the bottom of dive wells. Sometimes treasures can be found at the bottom. Dive Wellswells can also be portals to other areas of a tomb. Sims will go to the bottom, and then emerge from another dive well. This lets adventurers enter island tombs and other inaccessible areas.

The dive well can be colouredcolored (with a limited selection of colourscolors), to make it fitsfit it'sits atmosphere, like blood red for a fire tomb, or murky green for a swamp tomb.

Sometimes a notification will pop up saying "Fish Kid was here", probably referencing the infamous "Kilroy was here".

Sarcophagus
Sarcophagi in Al Simhara can contain mummies, that would try to curse Sims who is stealing it'sits belongsbelongings. Other sarcophagi can contain treasure and even be slept in. Some sarcophagi will pull the Sim who is checking the sarcophagus in and let them try the past time's simulator!

Hidden objects
Hidden doors can be found by using interactions on random walls. They are 2x2 spaces square. If the hidden door wouldn't open, the Sim has to push the door to rotate it. High athletic skill is recommended to push the hidden doors.

Stairways from The Sims 3 can be hidden now. Hidden stairways can be revealed by activating a switch.

Mummy
Some boulders are too large to clear with a pick axe. They require a special artifact,: Pangu's Axe, from Shang Simla to clear. Clearing these boulders can give the Sim access to previously blocked areas of a tomb and may even reveal treasure underneath.
Mummies are very nasty, as they'll curse Sims who are up to fight it. They can cause a curse or death to Sims.
