Adult/Elderelder Sims who are engaged to a Townietownie can ask the Townietownie to become their spouse. If the Townietownie accepts, they move in, usuallyand givingbecome thea Simplayable money andcharacter, taking their new spouse's last name. Theand Townieusually is then madebringing a playablefew characterhundred withor a relationshipfew of Married/Joined to the Sim who popped thethousand questionsimoleans.
;Moving in
Adult or elder sims can ask an adult or elder townie to move in with them, and young adult sims can ask a young adult townie to move in. The townie then becomes a playable character with no change in relationship status or surname and will usually bring in some amount of money.

Players should note that Towniestownies who become playable after moving into, or marrying into , a household will have their memories replaced with a standard CAS history. If the ''University'' expansion is installed, this will include a memory of going to college , even if they did not. ▼# DO NOT have an Engaged relationship to a certain Townie

# Are Friends/Best Friends with a Townie at least in the Teen Life Stage
;College
Can ask a Townie to Move in with them... The Townie then becomes a playable character and gives the household money. The now ex-Townie could, at the player's option, change their last name to the name of the Sim who asked them to move in OR could keep their last name (this requires the ''University'' EP).{{confirm}}
Teen townies can be added to new college households created via the "Add Students" sim bin button in university subhoods. They will not have any scholarships and will add the standard five hundred simoleans to their new household.
