Trait Chips are traits associated with Into the Future expansion which assigned to only Plumbots, replacing the trait system of Sims. There are 20 trait chips shipped with the expansion. One is specially attained, adding up to 21 total chips in game.

Each trait chip is separated into four hidden categories: Ability, Skill, Service, and Social.
