As many of us are currently aware, the amount of information we have and the quality of articles about The Sims 4, the latest iteration in the series, is lacking compared to the information and quality found for previous games in the series overall. The biggest problem seems to come down to the fact that we do not have enough active editors on the wiki that play The Sims 4 and are helping to edit our articles to add this missing information in or correct and improve existing articles.

When The Sims Wiki started some 13 years ago, it was to create a comprehensive encyclopedia of about everything in The Sims series, built and developed by volunteer editors like you and me. The Sims Wiki has no editorial staff, and nobody works for The Sims Wiki. None of us make money from doing this; we are all volunteers that contribute here because we want to! The original founders of The Sims Wiki have long moved on; almost everyone that's still around the wiki weren't around when the wiki was founded.

The Sims Wiki's Discord server is still the busiest part of the wiki to date, with hundreds of users online every day and countless hours of fun to be had playing around with the bots on the server, sharing random photos and videos you found on the Interwebs, or just having some nice real-time text chat with other people on the Internet. Discord, for those blissfully unaware, is a multi-platform online text and voice chat service that is easy and free to use, and lets millions of people connect with each other in a fun, interactive, and intuitive way! The Sims Wiki has adopted the use of Discord and it has quickly become the most popular method of communication on the wiki! We highly encourage you to check it out! There's a link to the server on the right side of every page on the wiki, and in case you somehow missed all those, there's a link just down below! Yes, click on the "Connect" button to get started. See you there! (And in case you were blissfully unaware of Discord before this, you are seriously missing out!)

I sure have been! Can't wait for the holidays!
I haven't been "busy" busy; I'd say I have the perfect balance.
I am a sloth that stays home and does absolutely nothing.

September has been somewhat of a quiet month around the wiki. Many of our wiki editors, myself included, have resumed school. I myself am a full-time university student, so I haven't had much time to spend on this wiki outside of my usual maintenance edits and recent changes patrolling. Thankfully I have had some time to write this blog post out. So, without further ado...

A call for information on The Sims 4

We know editing can seem daunting, but we highly encourage you to just Be Bold and try to help out! If you see an article that hasn't yet been created or is in need of more information, you can help out by clicking on that big "Edit" button and making your changes! If at any time you need help, or if you just want someone to talk to, we're happy to help you on our Discord server!

I know we've mentioned Discord a million times already, but...
