Rollback approved message

Congratulations on your successful nomination for rollback! Thought I might give you a short introduction on the rollback tool. Rollback is a feature of the MediaWiki software that runs many websites, namely Wikipedia and Wikia. It allows all consecutive edits made by one user to be undone in one click.

What rollback does. Rollback only works on the latest edit (current revision) in an article. If you click on rollback, it acts immediately. Instructing the server to perform rollback will revert all consecutive edits made by one user to the last revision not made by that user. For instance, if User A made 6 edits in a row to The Sims 2, and no one else edited after them, using rollback will revert all 6 of those edits to the last edit not made by User A.

When to use it. Because rollback does not allow for a custom edit summary, it should only be used for obvious vandalism. It should not be used to revert good faith edits or edits that have good intentions. If a good faith edit needs to be reverted, use the undo function or manually revert the edit and provide an explanation in the edit summary.

You can use rollback to:

Revert obvious vandalism Revert your own edits (AKA self-reverting) Revert edits in your own userspace (e.g. your userpage or your user talk page) Revert a large amount of edits that are deemed unhelpful, such as a malfunctioning bot, as long as an explanation is posted somewhere, perhaps at the talk page of the bot. What if I accidentally click it? It happens, because rollback works instantly. If you do accidentally rollback an edit you didn't intend to revert, just manually revert the edit and explain it was a mistake. What else do I do after reverting vandalism? It's not strictly required, but it would be appropriate to warn the vandal on their user talk page. You can either use a hand-written warning or, now that you are a rollbacker, you can use the pre-made warning templates.

Usage

This is a general purpose notification and warning template to be used on user talk pages, for those users who have broken any of The Sims Wiki's Policies.

The template can be customized by the administrator using it, or the administrator/rollbacker can choose one of several warning messages of varying message and severity, depending on the circumstances.

The following can be copy-pasted onto a talk page, with the parameters filled in. See Syntax below to see which parameters are optional and which are mandatory:

Syntax

The base syntax of this warning is:

There are two optional parameters. The parameter <other> will allow you to add additional custom text under the body of the warning, but above the standardized text that appears at the bottom of the warning itself. To use this parameter, enter:

The second optional parameter, <ip>, should be filled in if the warning is being placed on an unregistered user's talk page. Filling <ip> with any non-blank text will trigger an additional message in the template's boilerplate.

Depending on the message and severity intended, different entries can be made to the <type> parameter. Note that all entries are case-sensitive and must be entered exactly as shown, into the type parameter in the template, such that the template will look like:

Restrictions

Based on an administrative discussion, rollbackers are allowed to issue warnings to users. However, rollbackers may only issue Level 1 warnings, and only for the following types: Vandalism, Spam, Blanking articles or sections, Removing information from an article, Inserting false information, Creating inappropriate pages, Adding inappropriate categories, Editing other people's fanons, Violation of Copyright Policy, and Reverting own test edits. If a user has already been warned using a Level 1 warning, a rollbacker may issue a Level 2 warning, on the condition that they also notify a member of the administrative team about the user and their edits. Rollbackers may issue custom warnings, but these warnings cannot indicate that a user will be blocked for failing to heed the warning.

His parents always treated him well, and he was free to pursue his own path. That's also the main reason why Sepp is a much more happier adult than Kent. As Kent's parents forced him to become a businessman, while Sepp's parents didn't force him into politics. Sepp also met the "right people" while pursuing his dreams as a Racing Man. When reunited with his childhood friend Antonio Monty, Sepp finds himself in the position of a potential middleman. Will Sepp be the right person to intervene in this difficult situation, which may divide his loyalties?
