It's time for yet another round of "what vaguely related piece of news will LiR find this week?" otherwise known as The Sims Wiki "Weekly" News!

Sims universe news[edit source]

  • May builder's set on the TS3 Store. The SimGurus have been hinting at a new "builder's set" to be released in May on The Sims 3 Store. So far the set will include stair attachments (similar to those found in The Sims 2: Mansion & Garden Stuff), a new L-shaped stairway, and an intricate iron fence (click links to see each preview).
  • EA pulls The Sims 3 "plus" and "deluxe" titles from Origin catalog. The games that have been removed are specifically "The Sims 3 Plus..." games, which are a bundle of The Sims 3 and a single expansion pack. The Sims Medieval and The Sims Medieval: Pirates and Nobles have also been removed, with only the Medieval deluxe edition remaining. The removed games can still be found through traditional retailers, so it's unclear if the games themselves are being discontinued or simply removed from Origin's lists. For more info, go here/
  • SimCity 4 available on Mac App Store. Aspyr Media has released a version of SimCity 4: Deluxe Edition on the Mac App Store. A Mac version of the game will also be made available on Steam soon, and will be available to players who may have purchased a PC version of SC4 in the past through Steam. For more information about this, go here.

Community discussions

As usual, we have a plethora of threads that need your input. Among them are discussions about:

News publishing schedule

As you may have noticed, the news has not been released on a regular weekly basis. This is because there has not been much news, either on or off the wiki, to report about. Personally, I'd like to see the news published every-other week, but that's dependent on whether there is someone available to write it. In any case, you can expect this pattern to continue until we get closer to the release of The Sims 4, or at least until EA chooses to divulge more news about that game.

Poll[edit source]

I don't have a real poll question for you this week. So, instead, I'd like to know your opinion about this news blog.
