== Player Stories and editing in general. ==

When adding a player story or family player story, please do not remove the <nowiki>{{Player Stories}}</nowiki> or <nowiki>{{Family Player Stories}}</nowiki> lines. If you're using the rich text editor, you'll see a green "puzzle piece" instead of one or the other of those lines, and will often see green "puzzle pieces" when editing other articles. Those "puzzle pieces" mark the location of templates such as <nowiki>{{Player Stories}}</nowiki> or <nowiki>{{Family Player Stories}}</nowiki>. Please do not remove them. If you want to see what they are, you can use the "Source" button to switch out of rich-text mode.

Also, please do not bracket stories or edits in equals signs. That's wikicode for a section header (for example <nowiki>==</nowiki> is for a level 2 header), and it is inappropriate for stories and for anything else that is not meant to be a section header.

Finally, when editing [[Brandi Broke]], you removed a great deal of information, not just the template which creates the information box ("infobox"). You effectively blanked the article and replaced it with your own text, whether or not it was what you meant to do. It may be a good idea for you to visit the [[The Sims Wiki#Sandbox|sandbox]] so you can practice editing and using the editor. Player Stories and editing in general.

When adding a player story or family player story, please do not remove the {{Player Stories}} or {{Family Player Stories}} lines. If you're using the rich text editor, you'll see a green "puzzle piece" instead of one or the other of those lines, and will often see green "puzzle pieces" when editing other articles. Those "puzzle pieces" mark the location of templates such as {{Player Stories}} or {{Family Player Stories}}. Please do not remove them. If you want to see what they are, you can use the "Source" button to switch out of rich-text mode.

Also, please do not bracket stories or edits in equals signs. That's wikicode for a section header (for example == is for a level 2 header), and it is inappropriate for stories and for anything else that is not meant to be a section header.

Finally, when editing Brandi Broke, you removed a great deal of information, not just the template which creates the information box ("infobox"). You effectively blanked the article and replaced it with your own text, whether or not it was what you meant to do. It may be a good idea for you to visit the sandbox so you can practice editing and using the editor. Dharden (talk) 13:59, August 4, 2010 (UTC)
