Names

Hi! You've been adding great info to some sims' pages lately about the origin of their names, and I would just like to let you know that there is a whole section for that on the family pages. Isn't Remington a maid? Maids are NPCs, so it's possible that their personalities differ from game to game (for every Sim but Kaylynn Langerak, because she has a storyline). I can't check which aspiration he has right now, because my Sims 2 games and SimPE are on my other computer. Anyways, you could very well be right about his aspiration being Family, but from what it seems you just saw wrong. I will check on the weekend or earlier what his aspiration is, but maybe now you can ask some other users? Bleeh _{Lions make you brave, giants give you faith...♥} 21:55, March 16, 2010 (UTC)

Kaylynn Langerak's personality, skill points and interests are indeed randomized when the player creates a new neighbourhood. However in Pleasantview, her personality, skill points and interests will always be the same.C.Syde65 (talk) 10:21, December 11, 2013 (UTC)

Barnacle Bay and time

I'm not completely certain that Barnacle Bay necessarily uses the TS2-50 years timeframe. However, I suspect that, if that's so, it's more a matter of it being up to the player's imagination that of it necessarily being set in a different time frame. So, one player could view it as being slightly after TS2; while another might view it as being set earlier, with Nina and Dina as "temporal DPs", similar to Don Lothario in Riverview. Since EA has effectively declared that time travel exists within the Sims' universe, we can't use Dina's bio to definitely conclude that Barnacle Bay is not set in the past of TS2.

Barring some official statement from EA, all we can say for sure is that if Barnacle Bay uses the standard TS3 timeframe, then Celeste is likely to be alive in the TS2 timeframe. Dharden (talk) 02:40, September 27, 2010 (UTC)
