Umm well I'll accept your apology because all that came of it was having a few nasty messages on my page about me screwing up, but I don't really appreciate how I've seen that you've gone around posting on admins' pages saying that I was screwing up family trees and photo albums all over the site.. I see now that I did do it on a few families but it was not intentional, can easily be fixed (which it has been), and just because you saw it on two families doesn't mean it was on every single family I have ever editted...so I think in all you made it a much bigger deal than it was. ._. I'm thankful though that you brought it to my attention because otherwise maybe I would have done it a few more times. I wasn't really aware of it. It's okay though lol we're cool. If I do make any mistakes please tell me in the future too because I am just a newbie. (: --[[User:Shirviu|Shirviu]] 19:56, January 12, 2010 (UTC) |

Welcome
Hi, welcome to The Sims Wiki! Thanks for your edit to the DeBateau Family page.
Please leave a message on my talk page if I can help with anything! -- A morris (Talk) 23:49, 24 November 2009
Admin request
It is great that you are so enthusiastic about contributing to this wiki. However, to be considered for an admin position it is necessary for candidates to be vary familiar with wikis. You can learn more about what it means to be an administrator here and make requests here. Check out the forum and The Sims Wiki:Community Portal to see how you can contribute. --a_morris (talk) 18:13, December 14, 2009 (UTC)
- Request denied. You still have not shown that you are comfortable with the way the wiki interface works. For example, you edit here. See how
# Element 1# Element 2 # Element 3
was added at the top. If you use the "Preview" and "Show changes" functions before saving you can find and fix unintentional edits.
Alvi Family
You accidentally removed the the opening code for the {{Family}} template. For information on templates see Help:Templates. For general information see Help:Editing, information on creating image galleries see Help:Displaying images#Can I display many images together?. It is always good to preview your edits and use show changes before saving. --a_morris (talk) 14:18, December 17, 2009 (UTC)
Re: I am sorry to inform you................
Are you sure you meant that for me? I can't find any articles that I created within the past couple of months that are candidates for deletion. In fact, I only see two articles in the "Candidates for deletion" category. Neither are mine, and one (the "Nova Family" article) is one that I nominated for deletion. Dharden 04:07, December 24, 2009 (UTC)
- You had no right to speak for me or any administrator of this wiki to this user and threaten them. This is considered impersonation and harassment both of which are against Wikia's Terms of Use. --a_morris (talk) 17:24, December 28, 2009 (UTC)

Thanks for the heads-up about M&G
I wasn't planning on getting it anyway, as adding another Pack would probably be pushing it on my less-than-new computer, but I appreciate the thought. Sorry it glitched up your game so badly. Also thanks for the note about a possible location for the mysterious urn. Dharden 13:11, December 31, 2009 (UTC)

Whitecat2 here
Hey, it's me Whitecat2, it's nice to meet you. To answer your question, why wouldn't Maxis haven't sold Sims in Scandinavia if it's so good game :D
Hello
You found Vita's grave?!?
Hi, my name is Dorthea and I'm the one who first posted about Vita Alto's grave being found in the Sims 2, stirring up all that wonderful criticism and rumor. :)If you need to know more, I left a message explaining it on Dharden's talk page.
I saw that you had supposedly found the disputed grave; it was on his talk page. Now, two things you said stood out to me; one, that you found it after installing Mansion and Garden stuff, and two, that you found it in a basement you created??? Hmm. Oh, and also I found it interesting how you said that her ghost was a fire ghost. Perhaps you could elaborate...?
I'm really sorry about you having to uninstall your game and lose all your families, but I was hoping that you could provide some evidence for all of the skeptics out there (and there are a lot). If you get your game working again, I was really hoping that, if you find the urn again, you can snap a few pictures of the urn and the ghost for proof and put it up here on the site.
I would also really appreciate it if you could post some details on the Alto pages about where you found the ghost. I don't know where it is, because I can't use my old Sims 2, but I know some people are frustrated because they've been looking everywhere. And it looks like not only may they need "Mansion and Garden Stuff" to find it, but it may not even be in a precreated house, since you said you found it in a house you created.
Anyway, I'm really relieved you found this, especially because it may finally prove to everyone that I'm not lying. Thanks! :) 03:49, January 5, 2010 (UTC)68.13.221.137
How do you do that...??
Hi, I have been thinking about signing myself up as a registered user, but I'm not really sure I want to yet. I like being anonymous and mysterious :) But about the pictures and whatnot, I don't really know how to put pictures on the wiki...are the instructions for that on the page you see when you edit something...??? 68.13.221.137 01:02, January 6, 2010 (UTC)

RE: Sadden...
Hey, I have no idea about what happened, I do not spend my time here looking at fights between users. This is a wiki, and all you are supposed to do here is be contributing and useful to it. This is NOT a social website. Did a morris block you? - JEA13 [iTalk] 09:46, January 6, 2010 (UTC)
- Oh, I can see that, but tell me the reason, I can't just go around and unblock people. Tell me exactly what happened, please. :) - JEA13 [iTalk] 08:10, January 7, 2010 (UTC)
John Tricou's
Hello sir, I thought there is no need for that article... But if I'm wrong, I'll retire my proposition.
Bachelor's
Jeez, I'm really sorry about that ._. It's better now though :3 Thanks for not being condescending about it..as a lot of people seem to be on this site about edits; it's their way or the highway, lol. --Shirviu 23:51, January 8, 2010 (UTC)
the basement you created....
Someone just had an interesting point. How was Vita Alto's urn in the basement if YOU created the basement? That does sound odd. 68.13.221.137 00:17, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
Hello!
Hi AAf3K1... that's your name, in case you couldn't tell :). I've seen your name floating around the wiki recently and just wanted to stop on by your talk page and say 'hi.' If you ever want to or need to chat, or if you have a question or a problem with an article, or whatever, don't hesitate to send me a message; I'll probably see it relatively soon. Otherwise, keep up the good work on the wiki! LostInRiverview 05:22, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
Hi from the boondocks wiki
Hi Jacob I was wondering if you were still on the boondocks wiki. Thanks for giving me rollback privallages on the Boondocks wiki! --Salemguy123 16:04, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
Reverting vandalism
Please use the undo function to undo vandalism. Your edits to Unborn baby Curious only compounded the error and made undoing it harder. --a_morris (talk) 18:40, January 9, 2010 (UTC)
- Everyone can use undo. If the edit is not vandalism you should replace the generic comment text. --a_morris (talk) 03:33, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
Re: Vandalism revert
Well, I have limited experience in undoing vandalism in articles. I am not quite sure if regular users are supposed to undo edits... I haven't yet come across a rule saying we're not allowed to, but it seems to me that it's frowned upon (I could be wrong, it's just the impression I get) and that vandalism should be reported to an admin or sysop instead.
Anyways, that being said, the easiest way to do it (and the only way I know how) is to go to the vandalized page's page history, and go to the version of the page that was vandalized. On the left hand side of the description, there should be a link to 'undo'. As far as I know, you can only do this to the most recent change, so you have to be sure not to edit the page before you revert the vandalism. I've only ever undone vandalism once; you're better off asking an admin for a more detailed explanation if this didn't make sense.
Like I said, I'm not sure that there is a rule that says that regular user's can't undo edits. But if there is clear vandalism on a page, especially if the vandalism is overly offensive or vulgar, than it would be in the best interest of the wiki to clean it up as soon as possible, so in those cases I would suggest undoing the vandalism, then reporting the vandal's username or IP address to A Morris or one of the admins, who can take action against the user if needed.
Hope this helped! See you around! LostInRiverview 02:37, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
Undoing pages
Hi. I've noticed that you're been undoing a lot of pages that may or may not need to be reverted (this one and this one in particular). In both of these cases, it is clear that the editor was not vandalizing the page, and the undo function is typically reserved only for those occasions when a user blatantly vandalizes. If you disagree with the way a user wrote or did something, start a discussion on the article's talk page about it. If the user made a mistake, use the edit feature to fix it.
I'm encouraging you not to just undo whatever edits you find unsuitable, since that sort of behavior seems to be hostile towards other editors. I'm encouraging you not to use the undo feature unless it is really absolutely necessary, because a user has very obviously done harm to the page, not because the editor made a mistake or included information that perhaps should not have been included.
I would like to finish by saying that I'm not trying to reprimand or punish you, as I do not have the authority or the right to do so. I simply am hopeful that I can convince you to stop performing unnecessary undo's. If you feel that these actions were justified, I encourage you to explain on my talk page... I'll try to keep an open mind. Thanks. LostInRiverview 03:29, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
Messing Pages
I can assure you that the pages look fine to me when I'm done with them - all I can think of is maybe it's fine on my browser and not yours? I don't know.. Which page was it this time that looked funny after I edited it?
- FWIW, I checked Shirviu's edits of the Bachelor Family page and didn't see where the family tree or the album - or anything else - was messed up. Lately, there have been times when the image server has occasionally seemed to be slow. Sometimes, that results in some images not showing up, but if I reload the page every few minutes, they'll eventually show up, because there's nothing wrong with the page. Anyway, are you sure that what you saw wasn't caused by the image server being slow and/or backlogged? Dharden 21:43, January 10, 2010 (UTC)
- I see. You were talking about the table of contents, while I thought you were talking about the images themselves, so I didn't look there - until just now. Dharden 00:24, January 11, 2010 (UTC)
Glitched userpage
I do know that you need to put {{Userboxesend}} at the end of your list of userboxes. Not having it could be what's causing the display of userboxes to go wonky. My guess is that your last edit on the 10th has the userbox list you want, so try going back to that and working from there. Beyond that, I'm not much on userpage formatting myself.
