Good-Bye[edit source]

Just wanted to say good-bye, since your leaving in about a days time. Your contributions were special to the wiki, and I hope you will return someday. BobNewbie talkblog 19:16, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

Actually, if you read the latest update on the "Leaving" section of my page, it says that I am staying because Monobook will remain an option.--Eduardog3000 20:05, November 1, 2010 (UTC)
Great! BobNewbie talkblog 20:07, November 1, 2010 (UTC)

Whoa! Why are rolling back all my work on Bridgeport? (Kiwi tea 04:42, November 2, 2010 (UTC))

Site Notice[edit source]

The box you're talking about on Duskey's talk page is called a Site Notice... Oasis has it disabled, but under Monaco/Monobook it is located at MediaWiki:Sitenotice. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 21:27, November 3, 2010 (UTC)

Thank you, i use monobook on my wiki anyways.--Eduardog3000 21:37, November 3, 2010 (UTC)
About that, can you remove the "New Skin" site notice from this wiki, while it may not appear in Oasis, I use monobook, and it is annoying and not needed anymore.--Eduardog3000 22:06, November 8, 2010 (UTC)
done.--Monster2821 (Talk) 22:23, November 8, 2010 (UTC)

The Sims 3 page[edit source]

Why did you undo the edit I have done? I made reasonable request on The Sims 3's talk page for open discussion and vote. Please give me an explanation on why you have done that. Thanks. CA Quakes 23:00, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

See my response to that request.--Eduardog3000 23:02, November 23, 2010 (UTC)

Community Input Needed[edit source]

Please come to The Sims Wiki talk:Community Portal#Decreasing Activity and participate in a discussion of declining involvement here on the wiki. Some discussion of the issue and some ideas are needed. Thank you. - LostInRiverview talk · blog 22:29, December 5, 2010 (UTC)

Battles[edit source]

In an attempt to raise community participation, I have created The Sims Wiki:Battles ! Check it out! BobNewbie talkblog 19:58, December 6, 2010 (UTC)

Cornelia Goth[edit source]

You keep adding Cornelia Goth as a resurrect-in-game Sim though she is unlinked at game's start and cannot be resurrected until she is re-linked with SimPE. Maybe the cause of this dispute is you re-linked her but forgot? Either way just go into an untouched copy of Pleasantview with SimPE and you'll see she's unlinked.--thelamppost 20:35, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

I don't have SimPE, but I HAVE ressurected her.--Eduardog3000 21:21, December 14, 2010 (UTC)

After installing Nightlife and prior to installing a later ep/sp? Nightlife came with a glitch that re-linked several unlinked Sims Cornelia included. But it was fixed in later expansions. Did you resurrect her then?--thelamppost 01:37, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

Whether or not it was after Nightlife she can be ressurected with the Ressurect-O-Nomitron, so that is what the article will say.--Eduardog3000 01:55, December 15, 2010 (UTC)

After I try to resurrect her, I'll try to put my input. [Ѧüя◎ґ]
Thanks Auror--thelamppost 22:45, December 15, 2010 (UTC)
FWIW, she is mentioned in Resurrecting tips#The Grave Move Method as one of the Sims who can be resurrected after their grave is moved to a community lot. Dharden (talk) 00:15, December 16, 2010 (UTC)

Goth Family Tree[edit source]

I created a {{Goth Family Tree}} template. Can you look at it and tell me what you think? —Random Ranaun (Talk to me!) 02:24, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

I responded here.--Eduardog3000 05:14, January 11, 2011 (UTC)

Belladonna Cove in real life[edit source]

I read your usepage section about where The Sims neighborhoods are and I think I found out where Belladonna Cove is: Brouklin (However you spelll it!). What do you think? |_Andronikos Leventis Talk 17:36, January 24, 2011 (UTC)

Brooklyn, New York?--Eduardog3000 21:28, January 24, 2011 (UTC)
Yepp. |_Andronikos Leventis Talk 15:24, February 9, 2011 (UTC)
Maybe not Brooklyn, but definitely somewhere in New York, New York.--Eduardog3000 22:13, February 9, 2011 (UTC)
Maybe SimCity is the New York of the Sims world, and Belladonna Cove is one of the smaller areas of SimCity.--Eduardog3000 22:14, February 9, 2011 (UTC)

Change to the Main Page poll[edit source]

I'm not exactly happy with the change you made to the main page poll. For one, in changing the poll you reset the votes that had already been cast; it wasn't a substantial number, but those people will now need to vote again. Also, I'm not exactly sure if the question that's asked ("Do you like the main page?") really needs any option rather than a yes and a no... I don't see a lot of middle ground there. Would you be entirely opposed if I revert the poll back to its original form? -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 03:53, January 25, 2011 (UTC) It's ok if you change it back, i just thought some people wouldn't be able to say a definitive yes or no.--Eduardog3000 21:26, January 25, 2011 (UTC)

It's sort or irrelevant at this point, it's been up for awhile and many have already voted, so I don't want to erase their votes. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 05:14, January 26, 2011 (UTC)

Reverted edits[edit source]

Tell me, revert edits, it's for fun or it became a habit? For the Lothario family tree, okay, 2 theories, etc... do what you want, I do not care, the template is not used. But for the Alien Family Tree, I created a more balanced, more beautiful one, so why do you revert it? It is just a spirit of contradiction and stubbornness!

Know that if one day these templates are used, they will not belong to you and you will have to accept the idea that people will make changes. On this... --Aster09 16:13, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

Well according to the fact that NO ONE at The Sims Wiki:Community Portal agrees to using these trees, it doesn't matter.--Eduardog3000 04:20, January 30, 2011 (UTC)

As for the Lothario tree, I will add a note connected to Don from TS3 saying it is possible that he is the same Don.--Eduardog3000 04:28, January 30, 2011 (UTC)

What Fanon is (and is not)[edit source]

You claimed in a recent edit revert that you were removing Fanon from the page on Olive Specter. However, I have to question this action performed under the guise of removing fanon. For starters, the proposal of actual theory regarding her story is not canon, I think we can agree, but neither is it fanon in the strictest understanding of the term. Still, removing all reference to the mere idea that she may be a murderer isn't a good idea, since the theory regarding this is quite well-spread and even has its own dedicated Theories page.

Also, if I've said it once, I've said it a dozen times: if you are in a disagreement with another editor over what content should or should not be included in an article, DO NOT continue to revert edits. Instead, start a discussion on the article's talk page, and try to reach compromise or gain input from others. - LostInRiverview talk · blog 16:36, January 29, 2011 (UTC)

Happy Birthday Ed! :) (P.S. It's still March 10th where I live. :p ) —Random Ranaun (Talk to me!) 02:06, March 11, 2011 (UTC)

Patch pages[edit source]

Please note that pages on patches, such as The Sims Medieval/patch, should be lowercase ('patch' instead of 'Patch'). The reason is twofold - lowercase names apply to our naming conventions, and the {{Game}} template only recognizes patch pages that are spelled in lowercase. For instance, The Sims 3/patch is currently set to redirect to The Sims 3/Patch; if The Sims 3/patch did not exist, however, there would be no link to the patch page from The Sims 3 page.

That said, I will be moving TS3's patch page back to its lowercase spelling, and I ask that you leave it where I move it. Thanks. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 14:08, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Hey dude. How are ya? Haven't talked in a while! BobNewbie talkblog 14:10, March 25, 2011 (UTC)

Patches[edit source]

I noticed on an edit summary that you were trying to figure out what patch this is and what the game version numbers are. I think, from what I can tell, that the Patch is patch 22, and that the PC and Mac base games were both updated, but that only the mac versions of the expansion packs got an update. That's my guess as to what they mean by the patch update page. -- LostInRiverview talk · blog 22:58, May 31, 2011 (UTC)

Well if you notice, Base Game skips 2 "patch numbers" (1.19 updates to 1.22), where as the expansions skip only one "patch number" (e.g. 2.14 updates to 2.16). Mainly, its two patches released at the same time, Patch 21 for mac only, no base game, then patch 22 for both, base game only. That would explain the difference described above.--Eduardog3000 Ed G 23:02, May 31, 2011 (UTC)
