I corrected on such change yesterday and the user changed it back as well at several others. == Disappearing Graves & Game Corruption (Sims 2) ==
I need to clarify something: I know that deliberately deleting tombstones / urns causes shredded character files, which leads to game corruption. That's why I never do that.
So the game files I brought over from my old computer to my new computer originally contain all graves, but somehow, none of the graves were ''physically visible'' in my new computer.
I take it that since I didn't ''deliberately'' delete the graves, the character files are still exactly as the game left them. As in, Claudio Monty has complete character data, but Specter's victims have incomplete data. From what I see on the [[Claudio Monty]], [[Game guide:Resurrecting tips]] & [[Game_guide:Avoiding_corruption]] pages, it should be safe to resurrect ''some'' pre-made sims: the ones which have complete character data.
But what I'm not sure about: If graves go invisible even when the player didn't ''deliberately'' delete them, is the character file necessarily shredded as if the player deliberately deleted them?
This neighborhood in question is the MATY-merged Pleasantview-Strangetown-Veronaville. As far as I know, I am careful not to do anything that is known to corrupt the game, and have not encountered any bugs / major warning signs in the 1.5 years since I transferred my game files.

== Wiki Contributers and editting fanons ==
Hey,
It's not my place to say anything directly to the WCs who do this, but there do seem to be few that are ignoring the property templates. I think it needs to be made clearer that other users aren't supposed do big edits to fanon pages they don't own. I have seen a few WCs edit fanon pages made by other users, and some have edited two of mine with out asking me with incorrect information, that I have had to undo. The biggest edit on mine was the one on this [[Fanon:Dexter Goth|page]], who made this [http://sims.wikia.com/wiki/Fanon:Dexter_Goth?oldid=584672 trivia] addition of information which isn't true, and I have not indicated of the sim being reference to this Dexter they mention, because I haven't even heard of this show. Maybe a note should be added to the template or something, that if a user or WC feels a big change should be made to the page, they should just mention it in the comments? Again, I should mention that I don't currently have University, Family Fun Stuff, Pets, Seasons, Bon Voyage and Free Time installed on my current computer. Are you suggesting that I should re-install my expansion and stuff packs in release order and then copy my saved game files over (even though my saved game files lack any content from the five expansion packs and one stuff pack I mentioned)?
The reason why I'm asking is that I've previously had problems with expansion packs where you install some expansion packs, and then you install one of the previous expansion packs. The game may be unable to properly show the content from the expansion pack in question (such as furniture, Witch Doctor mask, hairstyles and clothes etc). I noticed that you moved the DJs back to the category for NPCs that are considered to be dangerous. But there's a DJ that I've been using for ages and nothing bad has happened.

Ah yes, I get it now. Some players seem to believe that DJs aren't safe because they can't be made playable without cheats. I think once they have been made playable, the game just sees them as Sims, or townies if the player moves them into the townie bin.

Okay I guess I was being tricked into becoming a little too sympathetic. It was actually very convincing that she's not an outright vandal - I'm not sure what to believe but I do agree that she does not deserve to come back. I'm not sure how she'll manage but if the admins keep her away, then at least they should find a better solution or contact wiki staff to ensure that she doesn't come back. * If this is what it feels like to be opposed then it’s not so bad. To be honest I’m actually pleased that you haven’t supported my nomination, because it indicates where I’m going wrong. I'd rather be opposed for a good reason than be supported for "nothing". And it's better than simply leaving the discussion page empty.
* While most people normally take time over their edits, I am always in a rush because I feel that I have a mountain of things to do and I just want to get them all done. As a result I often forget to add several bits of information, so then I have to go back and type in the information that slips out of my mind - by which time other editors may already have noticed.
* I often tend to do what many consider to be "A rough job which needs to be polished". I remember making an edit on a page, and another editor came along and tried to improve the grammar of my edit - but in doing so they re-wrote the opposite to what I had intended.
* I have made many mistakes, most of which I am unlikely to repeat - but then there's always a new generation of mistakes, in addition to those mistakes that had no one else pointed them out to me, I would never have noticed.
* Also when others try to explain things to me, I'm in too much of a hurry to actually take the time to consider and understand what they've said. This explains why I often misinterpret advice - such as "taking a step back and think a little bit deeper about what you're doing". Instead I might think of it as "wasting my time thinking about this when I could be jumping ahead to something else".
* Naturally I'm often under the impression that nothing is wrong which is why I express my confidence and experience whilst failing to notice any advice. Instead I might see it as discouragement.
* I can't see myself making any severe mistakes with those administrative tools but with those other mistakes, it doesn't look good. And of course a person can't always predict what they might or might do wrong. Recently I saw a nomination for administration-ship and thought "why has no one nominated me"? The answer was soon to be there waiting.
* I'm unlikely to repeat those mistakes "blanking a page" or "making false assumptions regarding a certain user and their sockpuppets". And before I understood the concept of archiving a talk page, I removed some messages in order to show myself in a better light. Or back then I just didn’t want my talk page flooded. But that still doesn't mean that the 'charges' have been cleared...yet.
* Now that I'm aware of these mistakes, I'm sure I can learn from them, and spend more time on things rather than jumping ahead. With that, I'll develop into a much better editor at a remarkably quick pace - being a quick learner.

I noticed that you were doing some block notice test pages under your user name. I have always wondered if the borders should be rounded like everything else seems to be, so I looked at the coding. I noticed there were some coding for rounding just like the family templates did. I think that the newer browsers are no longer supporting -moz-border-radius and -webkit-border-radius, but using border-radius. I didn't edit your test pages to add that code because it is under your user page, but I thought you might want to be aware of that because there are more and more newer browsers viewing the wiki now.
The other thing I wanted to ask was related to blocking. (Thanks for the link to the information about it because it really helped me understand it more, though it might still be a while before it all sinks in.) What is the typical length of blocking? I noticed you gave 1 week to an IP last week, and then the IP repeated vandalism, and you gave a 2 week block. What is it after that? And are all first blocks 1 week?
