It is presumed that Yves died recently, as the bakery's stock includes cheesecake and Baked Alaska, which neither Denise nor Gilbert have the [[skill]] to make. However examining his character data with [[Package editor#SimPE|SimPE]] shows that Yves has no skill points, or talent badges. Denise and Gilbert do not have [[memories]] of his [[death]]. If Denise initiates any [[Romantic (social type)|romantic]] interactions with another Sim, she will receive a memory for a [[affair|cheating]] spouse, as if Yves is alive.

 

 

Strangely when viewing Yves' SimDNA in SimPE, he has grey hair [[genetics]]. This is unusual since grey hair is normally not reflected in SimDNA. He has no true hair genetics. According to Yves' age data in SimPE, he had 29 days left in the adult [[life stage]] when he died. He uses the 2nd Maxis face template in [[Create a Sim]], except the eyes are smaller.
