Band

A rock band in The Sims 3: Late Night.

Bands are a new feature in The Sims 3: Late Night expansion pack. Players can create bands[1], invite/kick out members[2], hold practice sessions[1] and perform at concerts[1]. New musical instruments and skills (bass skill, drum skill and piano skill) are added as well[citation needed].

This feature is not to be confused with the option to play instruments together in The Sims 2: University. In Late Night, you are able to form a formal band with a name and are able to receive gigs if you have self-employed at least of the band members.

Gigs come as opportunities and a band will need to check the newspaper or talk to people to check where the good places to play are[1].

If a Sim in a band is having a conversation with another band member, there will be an option to change the name of their band or to kick the other Sim out of the band. During a performance, band members can attempt to "make a sweet move".[1]
