Chris Jones (also known as Chris Roomies) appears in The Sims console version and The Sims for PC. In the console version she wears a blue shirt, blue jeans with flowers and pink slippers and has short blonde hair. She lives with her roommate, Melissa Smith. In the console version they live at 3 Sim Avenue, an empty house with a big garden outside. In The Sims they are in the family bin, ready to be moved into a vacant house or onto an empty residential lot.

Melissa and Chris do not appear in The Sims 2, and what happened to them is not mentioned. Two Sims that looked like Melissa and Chris did in fact appear in the H&M Fashion Stuff preview wearing the clothes they wore in The Sims (console) version, but it is not confirmed that they are really Chris and Melissa. If they are, that was the last time they were shown to the public.

The PC version of The Sims does not allow Sims to have individual surnames, and uses the household name instead. However, Chris's surname is given as Jones in the console version. This surname is very common and it is unlikely that she was intended to be a relation of any of the many other characters in the franchise who share that name. However, one fairly common (but unconfirmed) fan theory holds that she may be the daughter of the Riverview Jones family, due to her passing resemblance to Hannah and her age being approximately right if they have a child near the beginning of play.

Chris uses the same head skin as Bella Goth and Princess Zaghawa Maximus, though all three characters use different skin tones, resulting in similar but non-identical appearances.
