Duarte Gere (or Noelle Lillard in the UK version) is one of the pre-made deceased ancestral Sims who resided during his lifetime in Belladonna Cove, the neighborhood shipped with The Sims 2: Apartment Life. He was the father of Inigo Gere, and the grandfather of Chastity Gere. Duarte is completely resurrectable, even though he doesn't have a grave. He has the Romance aspiration, and the Capricorn zodiac sign. As far as personality, Duarte is very playful, quite neat, and a little bit nice. But he is very lazy and somewhat shy. Duarte is one of the few ancestral Sims to die as an adult, so he died a premature death. According to his age data, he had 29 days left in the adult life stage when he died.
Duarte's facial structure is almost if not identical to the 19th Maxis face template in Create a Sim. His wife is unknown, according to his memories he had Inigo with his wife who appears to be improperly deleted. When looking at Duarte's family tree, it will appear as if there are more Sims in his family tree. However, when clicking on it, no extra Sims are to be seen. This is due to Duarte's wife being improperly deleted. Another reference to this is that his memories are getting married to "$Subject" which is a placeholder for a Sim without a character file. When attempting to open his family ties in SimPE, it will crash. If the players attempt to package the Gere family to a file, it will also crash. It appears that his wife being deleted was a mistake by the developers.
