Biography[edit | edit source]

Early Life[edit | edit source]

Blair was born to teenager Nicki Grande and an unknown father. Nicki's pregnancy was surrounded by drama as her parents Venus and Vernon had to figure out how to handle the unexpected situation. After Blair's birth, she was brought up by Venus and Vernon as their own child, while Nicki was forced to act as Blair's older sister. Blair's biological father was never tracked down though Nicki maintains he was an unnamed random boy she met at a party. Blair grew up being doted on by Venus and Vernon, though Vernon wasn't as comfortable with keeping up the lie as Venus was. Nicki was a rather absent older sister for Blair, finding it too painful to watch her daughter be raised by her parents. Blair and Nicki's lack of bond proved to cause issues when they were older, with Blair growing to dislike Nicki, with Venus teaching Blair that Nicki only lived with the family for their money when in reality Nicki stayed so she wouldn't miss out on Blair's biggest moments.

Teen Years[edit | edit source]

As Blair became a teenager, Nicki began to consider her role in her life and tried multiple times to tell Blair the truth about her parentage, but Blair's own dislike of Nicki put a stop to that. After Nicki took Blair clothes shopping, the "sisters" bonded a little, but when Nicki found herself spending a lot of the night chatting up Don Lothario, Blair felt ignored. In the car, Blair blew up at Nicki and told her all she wanted was a big sister, knocking Nicki back as she decided the best thing she could do was be Blair's sister and stop trying to be her mother. After this moment, things got better between the two. When Venus got ill and died, Blair was inconsolable at losing her "mother", but Nicki and Vernon decided against telling her while she was so vulnerable. Blair ended up also getting fired from her part time job at the police department after making a minor mistake, and was comforted by Nicki. Nicki and Blair's relationship eventually improved as Nicki became more hands on in Blair's life, helping her with school work and comforting her when she was sad at Venus's death. Nicki still held back from telling Blair the truth, but their relationship as "sisters" grew.

Covering Up a Crime[edit | edit source]

At Nicki's wedding, Don was exposed as a cheat. Blair, feeling like Nicki maybe had an idea of what was going on, yelled at her. In response, Nicki inadvertantly revealed the truth about Blair's parentage. Blair felt like her whole life had been a lie and ran off to her room to re-evaluate herself and her relationships, wondering who started the lie and why Venus and Vernon let it happen. When she returned, she saw Don attacking Nicki as well as Cassandra, Dina, Kaylynn, and Nina. Blair charged at Don, her protective instincts for her mother kicking in, and Blair and Cassandra finished Don off. As the group of women wondered what to do, a traumatized Blair used her police training to cover up the murder and forge a letter from Don saying he ran off after being exposed.

Repairing Relationships[edit | edit source]

As everyone got back to their own lives, Blair and Nicki had a talk about Nicki's revelation, with Blair finally hearing the full truth about how Venus forced the family, including Vernon, into carrying out the lie. Blair slowly accepted Nicki as her mother, and Vernon moved out to allow the pair to finally live as mother and daughter. Nicki later found out she was pregnant with Don's baby, and Blair agreed to help look after her sibling. Blair later got her job back at the police department. While on a night out, Blair met a boy called Ryan Hogan, and began dating him. Nicki came out as bisexual to Blair and began dating Kaylynn. When Nicki gave birth to twins Brandon and Britney, Blair was ecstatic and began helping Nicki look after the babies. Kaylynn moved in soon after getting engaged to Nicki, with Blair supporting the relationship and bonding with Kaylynn.

Running Away[edit | edit source]

After the birth of the twins, Nicki took her three kids for checkups. Nicki soon discovered that Blair shared the same sets of DNA as the twins, and upon closer investigation she shared a DNA match with Don. Nicki revealed this to Blair, meaning that Don is Blair's father who Nicki met at a party eighteen years earlier and they didn't recognize each other as adults, and also meaning the twins are Blair's full siblings rather than half. Blair is shell-shocked by this, especially as she had a hand in covering up Don's murder. Blair told Nicki she wished that Venus and Vernon were her real parents and she didn't have to be involved in this drama, and she decided to go to college so she could find her own self away from the drama of her family. Before she left Blair apologized to Nicki and told her that while she isn't a perfect mom, she never got the chance to be one and Blair will always love her as a big sister and as a mother. Satisfied that their relationship was steady, Blair left Pleasantview to find herself.

College[edit | edit source]

Once at college, she began sharing an apartment with Ryan and her best friend Tori Jakobson. She still maintained contact with Nicki, calling her every day. Wanting to keep distancing herself from the drama she faced the previous year, Blair shed the pretty and pink good girl image that Vernon and Venus raised her with, dying her blonde hair black, piercing her face, and adopting a harder demeanor replacing her sweet girl next door personality she had prior to moving. Blair began studying psychology to further herself in her police career. While her relationship with Ryan remained solid, she found herself struggling to be attracted to him, her eye wandering to Tori who she began spending more time with. Blair soon found herself developing a crush on Tori and realising she may be a lesbian, but not wanting to hurt Ryan and not feeling ready to admit her sexuality, Blair pushed her feelings down.

Yet Another Cover Up[edit | edit source]

A few months later, Blair found herself increasingly more attracted to Tori, and Tori found herself reciprocating Blair's feelings. After an emotional confession of love, Blair and Tori have their first kiss and later WooHoo, being caught by Ryan in the act. Ryan flies off the handle, and attacks Tori. Blair, getting flashbacks to when Don attacked Nicki, tackles Ryan and knocks him out. Ryan ends up dying too. Blair has a breakdown, knowing that she had been involved in two accidental murders and she doubts whether or not she chose the right career path in the police having that on her conscious. Tori helps Blair calm down, and they profess their love for each other, with Tori promising she won't judge Blair for what happened. Blair later tells Tori about her past, involving the lie she was brought up with, killing Don, and finding out Nicki was her mother and not her sister. Blair expected Tori to run, but Tori stayed by her side.

Another Death and The End[edit | edit source]

Soon, Blair and Tori's relationship hit some ugly bumps, with Blair's temper rising by the day. Their relationship hit the skids once Tori accused Blair of flirting with the cheerleaders, an accusation Blair denied. The argument turned into a physical fight, where Tori ended up becoming the third person to die at the hands of Blair when it got too heated. Devastated, Blair dropped out of college and ran home to live with Nicki. Blair struggled with the guilt of Don, Ryan, and Tori, and ended up the murders of the other two to Nicki. Blair had an outburst and blamed Nicki for her anger issues, connecting the fact that Nicki made her revelation the same day that Don was killed. Blair yelled that she hated her mother before running off. That night, Blair removed her piercings, softened her makeup, put back her original hair style and colour, put on her signature pink dress, and threw herself into the family pool. Nicki was left devastated, especially when she found a letter Blair had left apologizing for what she said the previous night and re-affirming her love for Nicki. A few years after Blair's death, Kaylynn and Nicki adopted a daughter named Bianca, giving her the middle name Blair in her memory.

Trivia[edit | edit source]

  • Blair's story with Nicki is inspired by the storyline from Eastenders featuring Kat Slater and her daughter Zoe, as well as the storyline from Hollyoaks featuring Leela Lomax and her daughter Peri.
  • Her middle names come from the two members of Russian pop duo t.A.T.u.
  • Blair is very similar to other young serial killers Ciaran Parker, Karen Stradenflugen, and Samara Bain. The main difference is that Ciaran and Samara killed their victims purposefully, while Karen's were a mixture of accidental and purposeful. Blair's were all accidental as her intent was to harm, but never to kill. Coincidentally, Karen Stradenflugen's first victim was her sister also named Blair.
