Birth & education
Edit
Carmen Dessino was born in 1921 to Evangelina Dessino and Marl Borough. Carmen did not have the childhood a young child should have. Carmen's father, Marl, was an American holidaymaker in Italy who slept with Evangelina, getting her pregnant. Marl left without a trace the day after, leaving a newly pregnant Evangelina on her own. Carmen was given all the love and support she could be given from Evangelina. Evangelina struggled to provide for the two but made ends meet just about. Carmen went to a local school where her creative talents were seen.
Love life
Edit
After finishing secondary school, Carmen met Marco Calluci. The two were together for a while. Around this time Carmen was just making it into the fashion world, sketching on serviettes ideas she had thought up a long time ago of dresses and skirts. Carmen later ended her long-term relationship with Marco in order to focus on her burning passion for fashion.
Love for fashion
