Artistic is a mental trait in The Sims 3. It conflicts with the can't stand art trait.

Artistic Sims are naturally gifted artists with a paint brush. They also make pretty good writers and musicians!

Attributes

• Artistic Sims will build the painting skill 25% faster than other Sims.
• Artistic Sims frequently wish to attend the local art gallery.
• Artistic Sims will build the writing and guitar skills up 10% faster than other Sims. The guitar skill's increase rate stacks with the increase from the virtuoso trait.
• Artistic Sims prefer watching the history and romantic channels on television.

Unlocked interactions

• 'Talk about Art' social interaction is always available. The interaction will boost relationships faster if the artistic Sim has 3 or more points in the painting skill. Sims with the can't stand art trait will never accept this interaction.
• Artistic Sims can paint a stylized Still-Life painting similar to genius and insane Sims.
• Artistic Sims can paint a somber Still-Life painting at level 6 of the painting skill instead of level 9.
• The trait provides a bonus to Sims writing in the children's genre.
• NPCs with this trait are attracted to the following lot assignments: art gallery.
• Artistic Sims will react negatively to Sims that "Complain About Art".

Player notes

• Artistic Sims will autonomously interact with easels, sculpting stations and guitars.
• Artistic Sims strongly benefit from undertaking a fine arts major while studying at college.
